Kerry-

Many of us have met you in person and you're a nice and lovely lady, but your updates lately are getting uncomfortably bad and a bit choppy. This is an honest critique...no personal shots at all intended. I just think it needed to be pointed out.

There are many pauses, not alot of enthusiasm, and some disconnectedness to your updates. Today's were really a mess, especially the one that was really a train wreck.... the Bakers's Square "Free Pie Wednesday" read on Monday. Aren't these checked at all before they are read? And you pretty much stumbled through that, blaming traffic and throwing them under the bus (which I'm sure they were in the wrong) instead of rolling with it and making the correction on the fly.

I do this Kerry, because I'm rooting for you and I think that you can do better. I think that the listening audience has been very patient and has given you a chance to warm up to you, but you really need step it up and sound like you care and want to be there. Maybe when Mac gets back he'll give you a swift kick in the hiney (not literally) and get you going again and on the right track.

I've been disappointed in Kerry Sayers myself, and not because of what Mac would call "radio hell" like his former colleague Bruce Levine up the dial many years ago when he forgot a certain ex-Houston Astro during a live report from Wrigley Field.

All too often, Kerry has been conspicously absent from The SCORE completely. Yeah, I understand Kerry came from a TV background working, when she got dumped by Comcast SportsNet. I understand over the last year or so, she's been filling in for Lou Canellis on FOX32 News and filing sports reports for the station's 9p newscast. With Kerry & Dan Jiggetts likely done at WFLD with the hiring of FOX Sports Ohio sports reporter/anchor Dionne Miller as new weekend sports anchor starting next weekend, here's hoping that she's at the update desk more on THE SCORE, whether it's giving Mark Grote a breather during the "Mully & Hanley" morning show or on this show. Kerry, you've got to do your job a lot better!

I really want her to, but I can't take it anymore. I'm feeling itchy and twitchy....which I'd never thought I'd feel about Kerry's updates.

They're reading the updates off prepared copy, right? I don't think they're doing them off the top of their heads or from memory, although that's often what it sounds like. Those mistakes seem inexcusable when you're only on the air for, what, twice an hour for three minutes each time?

He was bad, and Shaer was terrible when he did the updates on his own show.

Someone must have told Offman that it was endearing when he talked while laughing because he did that constantly. How I hate him.
