What do you mean by tell a story?

Like in the context of the match. How the match goes tells the story?

When you get two guys in there who get what is going on, every single aspect of the match is part of a storyline. They are not out just to show off a few big moves and get to the finish. They have not just memorized a script of moves and are frantically running through them. They are building a story with each move, with each facial expression, with how the moves are sold, with the pauses in the action. They build drama, they get the audience to buy into what they are doing and they listen to them to know how to proceed in the match. I would just about guarantee that Taker and HHH did not plan out that entire match. They had a general idea of where they were going and some things they wanted to do but they let the moment determine how they were going to accomplish it.

When we were kids I was a sucker the both guys are totally drained match. They would be just out of it and the winner would struggle to just get one arm over the other guy for the pin.

Yeah I enjoyed it as well. Love the Horseman and Edge stuff, and then the crowd chanting "Shawn is better" to HHH was pretty funny too.

This entire show is now on Classics. The Rock v Cena portion includes the Brodus deal. Were we possibly intoxicated? Yes. Outside of it relaxing the crowd to get ready for the Main Event, it served no purpose. I feel now, as I did at the time, that drugs could be involved. Drugs taken by Vince.

Also, did Machine Gun Kelly (sp don't care) go into business for himself at the end of the Cena performance?

The little things.

The energy in this building was definitely missed by me, unless I'm forgetting things. Certainly possible. I thought Cena was going for a cooler version of the Hogan/Rock crowd head turn by just staring at Rocky. I think he was just nervous. He ended up spinning his head when Rocky said go.

Chioda seems to be giving constant instructions to Cena. I don't know if it's timing issues, etc. It could have something to do with Rock being blown up like me playing full court basketball in 2013 after 1 1/2 minutes.

That's the 1 major thing that I remember about that match. I remember the Rock just sucking in air big time after what seemed like a couple mins. His cardio seemed alot better with the 2 Punk matches so I'm hoping he'll be able to step up his game for WM vs Cena.

I just watched Punk v Jericho. I have a new warm hope that Jericho's mission this year is to build up his IC opponents. He's amazing, even with the odd post-roids pectorals. That's for you Keeping Score.
