So, this was fun. Got to meet Waddle, talked with Silvy and JD for a bit. Silvy bought W_Z and I a drink (cash bar, $9 drink tickets . Wasn't expecting that). The food (appetizers and hors d'oeuvres) were really good. The raffled off some Bulls tix, I was one goddam number off from winning that. Obviously a great view as well. The Hancock is a much better view than the Sears Tower because its right on the lake.

Went to a Loyola bar called Streeter's afterwards for a few pops.
This was a good time, but it wasn't as hooked up as previous ESPN events I've been to. It was still a fun little event and it nice to win something and to chat with everybody for a bit.



An aside, if its a $9 drink ticket why the fuck would you get a bottle of Bud Light? I mean seriously. They had some higher end craft beers there too, but for $9 get yourself a mixed drink. Oh, and Sarah Spain is not fat. She is tall, and a butterface.

That's kinda what I was expecting too. Maybe 1 free drink ticket. But if it was a straight cash bar, it might have been better to charge say like $3 per ticket, and have a beer cost 1 ticket and a mixed drink cost 3 or something like that. I had never been to the sig room...pretty fancy place.

No real nuggets or anything. Silvy thanked us for the longterm support, said he browses the board from time to time. I was surprised Adam Delevitt remembered who I was considering I hadn't seen him in a good 4 years or so.

It sure was nice of ESPN to throw a party and have $9 charged for drinks. Did they sell tickets to this too?

the food was good and the view is spectacular. yeah the $9 for all drinks thing...yes the food was free but it was just finger food, even if it was very extravagent. give me a sports bar with nachos, pizza, and $9 *pitchers* anyday. but i really can't complain. silvy was real nice giving frank and i drink tickets and i was surprised JD remembered me. and yes, sarah spain is very tall. she's kind of intimidatingly tall.

streeter's is awesome. i'd like to go back there.
