Terry is back from a little vacation time this afternoon, and needless to say, Mac will be happy to see his good friend & teammate following Kerry Sayers' 1p "Scoreboard Update". Transition will be interesting to say the least.

However, no sooner will those 2 reunite for the first time in about 6 weeks, Derrick Martell Rose is headed back to the bench for tonight's 8:30p rematch with the Knicks at United Center. The Bulls' star sprained his ankle in the OT loss in New York and likely won't play this eve and was in a walking boot yesterday at practice. Ugh! Nevertheless, a Knicks/Bulls' preview and what to do with #1 will certainly be topics of discussion this afternoon.

There's also the matter of Marlins' manager Ozzie Guillen. As Bernstein correctly said yesterday, he wasn't fired after just 5 games as skipper, but he was suspended by the team for those Fidel Castro comments and seemed defiant in a morning press conference down in Miami. The debate continues today regarding how much longer Ozzie remains as Miami's controversial skipper and whether one more slip of the tongue costs him his job outright.

As for the Chicago baseball story, the White Sox & Indians resume their series in front of no one, actually 9,473 TICKETS SOLD at (Not So) Progressive Field in Cleveland, which means Terry & Dan B. are done at 5:30p to accommodate Ranger's pre on the Chicago White Sox Radio Network. Might those 2 talk about Chris Sale's solid first MLB start last night in the "W" over the Tribe? All of that, plus the lack of fan response over Aramis Ramirez's return as a Brewer in Milwaukee's victory over the Cubs at Wrigley, and who knows what else between 1:15p-ish & 5:30p today.

Dan lashing out at "these opportunistically offended people" sounds like a Republican who gets in trouble for saying "coloreds" or something.

What the hell does this even mean? Are they supposed to walk around in a constant state of offense?

Still waiting on any proof of the alleged voicemail other than Bernstein saying it happened.

And that the DePaul priests fired him for his radio comments.

Anyone have anything on either of those, Id appreciate it.

You can't come to your taxpayer-subsidized job in Little Havana and say you love Fidel Castro? Man, some people will pounce on you for anything!

I wonder if Bernsy will break out his Vin Scully imitation...He's not working today's Dodgers' home opener vs. the Pirates due to a bad cold.

Dan has jumped down callers' throats for the real or perceived antisemitism of someone calling him "a snob from Deerfield." Makes for good radio and puts stupid people in their place in case there was something sinister behind it. Is that considered being opportunistically offended?

Here's the Tuesday game plan with Terry & Dan B. back together:

*3:30p: "The Second Half"

Producers: Matt "After the Sox Game Again Tonight" Abbatacola & Jason "6p Tomorrow" Goff
"Scoreboard Updates": Matt "On Billboards Everywhere" Rodewald

As previously advertised, the guys are done at 5:30p for Chris Rongey's pregame on the White Sox Radio Network in advance of White Sox/Indians in Cleveland. After Ranger's postgame around 9:30p-ish, Matt Abbatacola hosts the nighttime SCORE until Les Grobstein & Adam Harris with "SCORE Overnight" at Midnight.

Strap it in, hunker down, lock the door, hide under the bed, put shells in the shotgun...

Bad NBA thoughts gleaned from a blog and by scanning ESPN.com are certainly on the way.

And mocking Derrick Rose...

This is fair game. They pilloried Tebow for similar things. Gotta give to the home town guy for doing the same thing. We would hate for these two play favorites.
