I think so, and this is coming from a guy who watched a close family member die of alcoholism. A large majority of people are responsible with drinking. They aren't going out and getting in fights, having liver failure, and getting dui's.

All Ill say is Ive seen a lot of problems fueled or directly caused by alcohol.

Far higher percentage than anything tied to weed.

Just my experience

This whole ordeal was because Dan mcneil had Bi-polar depression and went south because he quit his meds cold turkey.

Then he self medicated on Weed, and Alcohol until he landed in the hospital under observation his "nervous breakdown".

Ok whatever. I'm bipolar too and I don't need any meds.

maybe you're not bipolar then. maybe you're just a dick.
I know a few people who claim to be bipolar, and really, they're not... they're just dicks.

Yeah, you'll know real bipolar disorder when you see it, hopefully. It's not just being happy some days and sad others, or generally being a prick. It pretty much leaves a path of destruction.

It really is comical how people throw the term around nowadays.

One sudden bad mood = BiPolar

Its like hip.

These crazy kids

I know a guy that went off his meds and shut down his lucrative law practice to.....travel.

He travelled for 2 weeks, crashed, then got back on meds and has spent the last 10 years trying to get back 10% of what he volunatarily threw away.

Its pretty neat

You're medicated. She just hasn't told you what it is she slips in your eggs every morning.

Now, be sure to finish your eggs.

Point of clarification: Because someone has experience with bi polar order does not mean they are medicated or bi polar

I just drink, usually get fucking blasted on Friday or Saturday...sometimes both depending on scheduling.

I used to take Concerta, but it has been about 2 years.

I don't take medication. In fact getting me to take an aspirin can be difficult.

Yeah, I only take Advil if my headache is just completely unbearable. Because you know, once you go down that road, I mean...

It was nice to hear Damahnah back on the air. I appreciated the transparency with which he touched on the situation, and hopefully none of his demons come back to haunt him. Recovery from something as ambiguous as depression is intense, but with substance abuse it only furthers the problems. I wish him luck.

We can just imagine Budweiser's top brass high-fiving each other upon hearing that drinking alcohol before a test might improve your score (no, you're not sloshed, you read that right). In a study of 40 men, University of Illinois researchers found that subjects who downed two pints of beer before a quiz fared better than their sober counterparts. And not just a little better - the drinkers solved 40 percent more brain teasers than the teetotalers, and solved them faster. We're not advocating getting hammered before the LSATs, but if you've got a breathalyzer handy, the study says that the optimum blood alcohol level for enhanced "creative problem solving" is 0.07.
