Me too, it's kind of like the Sunday preacher who has to "sing" certain verses during the service, but he is not really singing. It's kind of a half sing, like "through him, with him, in the name of the holy spirrrrrit".

Wouldn't that mean they might be the worst organization in baseball at some point in the future?

It's also like the old "Tonight Show" bit "Stump the Band".

You may not be old enough to remember when the late, great Johnny Carson would go into his audience and random contestants would sing obscure tunes from time to time back in the day...

No one has any idea of what someone will be when they reach the majors. That's why organizational rankings and ranking prospects is absurd.

The Sox had the "best system" in the mid 90's and none of those guys did anything of note in the majors.

Yeah, thats probably a better way to describe it.

But that's obviously what they're looking at.

Yes, and the Blackhawks were the worst organization on Earth in S.I. like a year before they won the Cup

Silly

Major League Baseball isn't the NFL or NBA. #1 picks in MLB don't always pan out the way you'd hope unlike in the other 2. I'm starting to think that now of a certain Jason Hervey-looking second baseman who was brought up way too soon from the minors...

SHARK, you're not starting to think it. You've been saying similar things since last year.

If the White Sox were to give up completely on Gordon Beckham, TP, who plays second base for this team? There's nobody worth calling up, even with the Sox acquiring minor league SS Jose Castro yesterday from Cincinnati.

3-run bomb by AJ. 10-4 with the Sox still hitting in the top of the 6th.

Well, the Sox offense basically told Danks to fuck off

HOPEFULLY, a 6 run lead should be enough for this jackass.

Wonder if the Cubs will score 10 runs in back-to-back games this year. :|

I do not believe that they will give up on Beckham.

He plays a solid 2B and if he hits .260-.275, 12-15 HR, and 75-90 RBI, he's not going anywheres

Pitch count be dammed SHARK, Danks needed to be out of there.

And Beckham is not going anywhere. All last year you were talking about him going to Charlotte. Of course his numbers aren't great but he is with the big club permanently unless he gets hurt.

Frank, baseball today is so much more specialized, the complete game is rare these days. As for Beckham, the guy can field. That's not the issue. "Experts" who are paid to watch Bud Selig's Major League Baseball for a living are starting to grow impatient with Beckham the batter. The White Sox thought when they called up Beckham they had their own answer to the Rays' Evan Longoria. I'm not about to give up, but I wish I had a solution for what ails Gordon at the plate.

SHARK you are the only person I have heard say that about Beckahm, and you are no expert.

  I also knew that the White Sox weren't about to send Gordon to Charlotte, while some "experts" thought the White Sox should have sent him down.

That it is...A 10-6 White Sox winner and the Sox are now 3-2 coming home following a rain/snow-shortened sweep of the Indians in Cleveland.
