I'm getting a little tired of hearing Waddle rip on Silvy at every turn. It's almost like if he can't think of something else to say, he insults Silvy.

Now I'm no big fan of Silvy. It just annoys me that Waddle falls back on that tactic...A LOT. He kind of has that Rosenbloom "too-cool-for-the-room" attitude.

All most of us are asking for is Waddle to watch the sports he covers

If you go back to the thread's beginning you'll find i was one of the people who said we needed to give Salisbury and Rosenbloom some time, no atter how much i hated the show, hated the fact that they bumped "my guys" from their slot, and how much I hated Salisbury. I'm more than fair when it comes down to giving a show a chance. And I am doing just that. Right now all I said was Waddle needs to watch sports and basically the rest of these people are doing the same. As far as grading this show, I'll do that by the start of September. I'll get made fun of, ripped, and ridculed here, but I do think Silvy is doing a much better job than Waddle at the moment.

However, this is the perfect time for Waddle to get better so he's in full gear come football season. Mully and Hanley have really taken the ball and ran with it once Silvy and Carmen got the boot out of this slot. I always go back to that April (might have been March)...It was Silvy and Carmen's last full month and the guy's had something like a 5.5 or so in the ratings. Far better than Mulley and Hanley. However, those two have drawn in a lot of S&C listeners...including myself at times. ESPN has some work to do here. Waddle needs to grow now and once we get that fall book we'll see how this show holds its own.

Tom Waddle is at a great advantage over Salisbury because Tom Waddle was a good football player and Sean Salisbury was a very bad football player.

That had nothing to do with his radio career.

The show is off to a good start, but there's certainly LOTS of room for improvement. Waddle does seem a bit lazy with his analysis and penchant for the one-liner barbs at Silvy.

They seem to have a good framework for an interesting show and the chemistry betw. the two is believable. The worst thing any CSFMB denizen could say, though, is "wait til football season. Waddle will really shine then!"

Some folks said that about Salisbury. Oops.

Based on the early show conversation this morning, we can assume Tom's reading the boards, and got the constructive criticism.
He pointed out that he watched the entire cubs game, and that should make some people happy

The two of them sound like they genuinely enjoy working together, which is something the previous show lacked. With a little advertising help this show will be a hit.

I think it has more to do with MJH giving him a hard time.
