GF really wants Italian tonight and we'll be out in this area. Anyone have a good recommendation in either of these fine burbs? Looking for sit down, standard 15-20ish an entree etc. Appreciate it greatly.

Downtown Arlington Heights is the place to be...a decent downtown for a suburb. It's just south of downtown....

I'll be in the same area as well. The wife and I are meeting some friends of ours at Coopers Hawk. Make it a table for 6?

Gianni's in Downtown Palatine is really good (across the street from Lamplighter)
Biaggi's in Deer Park is also pretty decent (and 10 minutes further north from Palatine)
Toscana doesn't nearly have as food as good as Gianni's...

I do love me some Cooper's Hawk, though.......hmmmm...

Boyd gave me a really good place I took a woman on the first date but don't remember what it was called
if you need another option. It was some of the best Italian food I have had in a long time. Just did a quick
look up.... Giannis I think is what it was called. I am sure you will be fine either way.

When you think about it, it's all so stupid. I haven't told my girl about the board. Probably won't ever do it. I've said too much stupid, incriminating shit here.

I do not know of Gina's in that area. As far as hot dog places around there go, Chiggy's on Northwest Highway is really good, Kosta's on Dundee is probably the second best in the area.

I beleive Armands is still in business in DT Arlington Heights. Also, that place mentioned above on Arlington Heights Road ( Francesca's Tavola‎
208 S Arlington Heights Rd)
is too pricey. Everything is ala carte, skip it.

I haven't been yet but have heard nothing but rave reviews from friends who have been here.

http://www.near-restaurant.com/

Its not too far from Palatine up Rt. 14 in Barrington.

Chef does lots of specials and will do huge 7 course meals if you ask. It's ok you will understand one day when you go to real restaurants and don't get crayons when you are seated. :P

There are like 7 things on the menu. :)

Most menus at real restaurants will feature only a small amount of entrees. Every restaurant menu isn't the size of cheesecake factory's.

I'd rather have 7 really solid menu items than 50 pieces of shit. Applebee's, I'm looking at you...

My favorite low-priced joint is Outback. Going there tomorrow afternoon. Yup.

Quaker Steak & Lube has some good food and good drinks.
