If the Sox have a slim lead in July, the value for these "bums" will be at its highest. Sure they could maybe hold on and get a playoff game or two. But next year comes and you got NOTHING for these "bums" or you still have them. And I am confident they will suck again really soon. Dump them when they are playing well. Dump them if they are not. But you have to do it if you can and it will be easier if the team is fooling themselves by doin fairly well during the first half of the season.

Look at the '06 Cards, '07 Rockies, and '11 Cards. All you want is to get in the playoffs, that's it. Anything can happen then.

Maybe you should actually start praying for a brain, you sure could use one.

As soon as Dunn gets his legs under him.

The day after KW blames the fans for the team's struggles

No. Dunn does not have a history of struggling when his team is expected to win. He has been the model of consistency until the fluke of last year. This makes it impossible for struggling to be "Dunn Like".

Well, he struggled the only time his team was expected to win.

2 for 16 start. I know it's pretty early, but... ah, do you let this go on for a while? Still think he's got it turned around and it's just been a rough start?

Um, yeah. Its only 4 games. And he is 2-13

Hanley Ramirez has 2 hits
Alex Gordon is 0fer
Mark Texiera and Joe Mauer are 2-14
Adam Lind is 3-16
Ben Zobrist is 2-10
fucking Albert Pujols is 3-14
Michael Young is 4-16

He's looked better at the plate. He's got a double and a HR, and he's walked some. And don't forget Texas ran some pretty good arms out there.

Probably, but the point is that you don't sit any of them for an extended period of time this early in the season.

Looks a lot better at the plate, better swings, putting the ball in play, not pulling everything.
Most likely will put up his career numbers and will be trade bait by July.

I'll be shocked if he doesn't hit at least 35 homers.

Orr, would you be disappointed if he hit 33 HRs with 90 RBI? Or 28 HRs with 106 RBI?

Sorry... I was referring to plate appearances.
I haven't seen more than 2 AB's, the rest were observations from box scores. They only show the k's not how good he looked striking out.

1-2, walk, run and 3 RBI. He took a lesson from Paulie last night and had an awesome piece of hitting going to LF to clear the bases. Need him to heat up because Morel and Beckham might as well go up there without a bat and hope the pitcher throws 4 balls.
