Sale is out of gas. Too much in the 2nd and 4th inning... isn't someone getting up?

Great job getting out of that by Sale. I have no idea what the hell De Aza was thinking on that routine flyball. This is a good time to get a couple runs.

But I'll say this, the White Sox easily have the best top to bottom pitching staff in the division. The Tigers are a Verlander hiccup away from being a mediocre baseball team. It seems pretty clear that baseball has moved away from football type scoring and it doesn't matter if you have two each of Cabrera and Fielder, you're not going to score 1000 runs in this environment.
I think the Sox have a chance to win the Central, but scoring will likely be a problem for them all season long.
Agreed. I honestly think KC or the Sox wins the division. I don't like the Tigers bullpen, back end of their rotation, or defense.

C'mon Valverde, cough up another one!!

No way KC wins the division. They can score runs and they're going to have to score a ton because they can't pitch. The rotation is bad and the bullpen is real bad after losing Soria.

The Sox lost a tough one today but still took 2-3 from a pretty good team. Did they ever win 4 games in a row last season?

4-1 against the AL Central so far. They were like 31-40 against the Central last year. Beat the teams in your division, and they'll be in the hunt to the very end.

Dude, that wasnt a routine play. The wind was tough out there today.

It was windy and De Aza made a huge mistake by putting his head down and running to a spot. When he looked up the ball wasn't there. If he would have kept his eye on the ball he wouldn't have had to move more than a couple steps thus making it a routine play. Hopefully he learned his lesson and he doesn't make that mistake again.

If Verlander makes 30 starts, the Tigers will win the division

I was standing right behind him just to his right. It was tough to judge the ball. Yeah, he obviously misplayed it, but it was easy to do. If he doesn't move, he probably does make the catch. But he moved because he's a good outfielder and it appeared he should move.

I meant that was the Sox record.

What if he has 30 starts like Danks had last year and gets no mythical run support?

The road to the division title goes through 35th and Shields.

I think the chances are pretty good that he gets more "run support" than the pitchers he faces.

2012 John Danks - 1 win
2012 Justin Verlander - 0 wins

If you extrapolate that out over the course of 30 starts:

Danks - 15 wins
Verlander - 0 wins

Ipso facto, John Danks is better.
