That is what I was getting ready to say as well. He will be a rebounding and block machine, but I don't see him ever developing a real solid offensive game. But he will be a nice piece for a team to have around.

That's my impression as well but most nba scouts and experts disagree with us.

Bird can back him up off the bench.

And Farvio, I disagree that there is no close second to Bird as a small forward. In fact, I'd argue that Bird is a close second to Pippen.

Bird was a great shooter and passer...whoopee! Those are the only two things he did. He ran the break well and he could hit shots from anywhere. But when you compare him to the greatest all-around player of all time, who did EVERYTHING well? Sorry, but Bird ain't touching Pip.

Yeah, that is pretty bad. I wouldn't even want Bird on my bench.

Maybe its the fact that Camby played for Calipari as well but they are remarkably similiar

Actually Camby was a better offensive player in college, but he was in college longer as well.

Supposedly he's shown a much better offensive game in workouts, and it wasn't on display because Kentucky didnt need him to do certain things. Chad Ford says he has potential three point range. All the scouts say he's a cant-miss guy, but yeah I have my doubts about all that as well.

You really went "all in" on that one. I can respect that. Still crazy as all hell, but commendable.

You already know how I feel about the small forward position.

5. Tyson Chandler (7-0 1/2 225 lbs.) Compton Dominguez HS
Positives: Chandler has been called the next Lew Alcindor since he was in middle school. A remarkable athlete with the speed and agility of a guard, Chandler is not the protoypical post player. He shoots the ball fairly well from the perimeter and can even hit shots from beyond the college three-point line. Chandler also passes and handles the ball pretty well for a man his size. His height and wingspan will allow him to dominate the backboards and intimidate shooters with his shotblocking.

That's my thought too, but it's not a popular stance. At least I posted it in the right thread though (My Contrarian Opinion).

Its #1 and #2 or #2 and #1. Either way, if you are starting a team and either of those guys are starting you've got yourself a pretty goddam good team.

The part about Pippen being the best all around player of all time is quite crazy.

Wow, swing and a miss on a couple of those Positives there.

Chandler turned into a decent NBA player, but when has he shown any type of range outside of 5 feet from the basket? Im sure when he was in middle school and high school he probably towered over everyone and made easy shots. That write up is just silly.

He probably hit one 3 during a workout and the scouts started furiuosly writing in their note pads.

I've been right on Chandler and Curry since day one. I was mocked for thoughts but I was clearly able to see into the future. Just like me saying Rose would put it all together by year 3.

  You said he would become a "possible All Star" by Year 3 and laughed at me saying he'd be very good by the end of his 2nd season.

Hey, I was calling Eddy Curry "Baby Shaq". I think that's worse.

I predicted that Eddy Curry would try to rape his limo driver. Everybody said I was crazy, but he had that look about him...
