Positives: Chandler has been called the next Lew Alcindor since he was in middle school   . A remarkable athlete with the speed and agility of a guard, Chandler is not the protoypical post player. He shoots the ball fairly well from the perimeter and can even hit shots from beyond the college three-point line   . Chandler also passes and handles the ball pretty well for a man his size. His height and wingspan will allow him to dominate the backboards and intimidate shooters with his shotblocking.

Wow, swing and a miss on a couple of those Positives there.

Chandler turned into a decent NBA player, but when has he shown any type of range outside of 5 feet from the basket? Im sure when he was in middle school and high school he probably towered over everyone and made easy shots. That write up is just silly.

He probably hit one 3 during a workout and the scouts started furiuosly writing in their note pads.

I've been right on Chandler and Curry since day one. I was mocked for thoughts but I was clearly able to see into the future. Just like me saying Rose would put it all together by year 3.

  You said he would become a "possible All Star" by Year 3 and laughed at me saying he'd be very good by the end of his 2nd season.

Hey, I was calling Eddy Curry "Baby Shaq". I think that's worse.

I predicted that Eddy Curry would try to rape his limo driver. Everybody said I was crazy, but he had that look about him...

I would probably put Bird 1 and Pip 2 but many guys would have Elgin and J over Pippen.

I remember the night of the Chandler Curry Candyman draft.

I remember the first words I said when I got there was "Why the fuck did they trade Brand though?"

My buddy Dan went into a diatribe about how it was a brilliant move. I remember him saying. "You know Curry is gonna give you what Brand did, and probably a LOT more"

Oh and when LeBron was a junior in High School, I was telling everyone "He's got all the skill, but he'll defer to Udonis Haslem in crunchtime"

People thought I was crazy....

i remember thinking/saying...why would you draft 2 projects?...i could see taking a chance on one ..but 2 is dumb...very good chance they play 3-5 years for this team and develop a better game and leave when they are good...i had faith in chandler not so much in curry..overall i though chandler would have a better career than he has had...not much better but better

I don't think anyone was worried about them becoming great and leaving. This isn't New Orleans or Denver, it's Chicago.

Count me as another on draft day that thought Chandler was much better than Curry though. I saw Curry in the HS tournament and just thought he was lazy as fuck from that point forward. Some first impressions are spot on.

i am not saying they would become great and leave...more like i thought chandler would get better each year and peak on another team after being in the league 7-8 years....i thought chandler could become a 16 ppg 12 boards a game player..his offensive game never really looked that good...the best he looked was with cris paul....i never liked curry.he was a big softy that never really rebounded well in high school.

Almost the entire "Fire Phil Emery" thread is ripe for the plucking of bad.

" i am pissed the bulls passed up blair twice in the draft"

Kevin Durant was completely one dimensional as a rookie, and he wasn't great at that one dimension.

Taj has worked out but Blair was clearly the steal of that draft going in the mid 2nd round so that's actually a good thought.
