I'm a bit surprised that they only have 1 Sunday Night game scheduled. But 3 Monday Night games! Are you ready for some Gruden?

Bears should be very good this year. 13-3, make it at least to the NFC championship game, & Lovie gets a 3 - 5 year contract extension.

Pretty easy start to the season. A lot of shitty teams. 4 out of the first 5 opponents didn't make the playoffs last year. 6 out of the first 8 opponents didn't make the playoffs.

Maybe the Bears can benefit from a weaker schedule this year like the Packers did last year. The #2 (or #1) seed in the playoffs would be nice to have.

Looks good on paper now but I'm afraid to say how easy it is in April.

I don't mean to go all fanboy, but with the solid free agency coupled with the various intangibles (not even factoring the draft yet), plus looking at the schedule...

...the Bears are going to beat the fuck out of a few teams. 13-3 and NFC title. Not sure about a lombari trophy, but they're going to the show.

Dewskie, so now there are 2 of us in the 13-3 club. I can wait for the NFL season to start. I haven't been this jacked up for a Bears team in many years.
Getting rid of Martz wil have as much of a positive effect on the Bears Offense as the addition of Marshall.
Firing Martz was addition by subtraction.

My basis for liking them is at the same time both rational and totally irrational. The offseason signings have been 100% across the board what this team needed. New bodies on the offensive line, linebacker, corner, receiver, quarterback, and halfback. They smoothed out the coaching staff to be more sensible, acquired a star receiver, and their feet are against the fire with having to win for Lovie to save his job. I'm certain they'll have a strong draft and the roster from top to bottom will be impressive going into the regular season.

The irrational part of it is that I just get a feeling about this team being due. I had the same feeling in 2005. That team got smacked around by the Panthers in the first round and you could just feel that next year they were going to play to that potential and just steamroll through the regular season. I get that feeling this season as well. Last year's squad, which wasn't nearly as talented on paper as this year's team, was on pace to be a high seed in the NFC and got crippled by injuries.

In 2012, this team is healthy, depth is tenfold improved, there's new weapons on both sides of the ball and the coaching staff is a far more cohesive unit. The schedule doesn't scare me either. I think for the first time in years we're going to see the Bears winning by 30 and 40 points and separating themselves from the pack substantially more early in the season.
