Or, alternatively, find a coach who can figure out how to make Toews, Kane, Hossa, Sharp, and Keith score goals when they have a man advantage. I don't understand why it's so goddamn hard. The Red Wings have a finely-tuned machine on the power play; we have a Rube Goldberg tin can phone.

I stopped listening after I heard his voice. But it's probably close.

No.

That was a Drop In exaggeration of Jim Rose.

Okay, good.

Torres:

"First off, I hope he’s all right. But as far as the hit goes, I felt like it was a hockey play."

Hopefully Torres is part of a hockey play in game 4 that puts him in crutches.

It's always easier to say that when you don't get it by someone leaving their feet.

Everyone needs coaching, but no one needs Mike Kitchen. I'm sure changing personnel would help, but it can't all be on the players.

The Phoenix announcer that repeatedly said it was a clean hit and doesn't think a suspension is warranted is Tyson Nash. Former thug-wannabe for St. Louis and Phoenix. He was more of an agitator than a fighter really. One of those guys.

Anyway, his twitter handle is @TysonNash. Just, you know, in case anybody feels like sending him a message or a thousand.

Funny, he's one of those guys that lives on twitter on a daily basis but he's been silent for 16 hours now.......hmmmmm......called in to the principal's office maybe?

And Tyson Nash is gonna be on W&S at 9:40. Hopefully I can tune in. What a jackass.

He was very very sorry that Hossa got hurt. That was clear.
He talked in circles, hmmm'd and hawed, and at one point still blamed Hossa. Seriously.
He made a lot of points defending what Torres did - said it was clear he didn't intend to do it and his "skate was a half inch or an inch off the ice after the hit". Seriously.
He acknowledged that Torres has a history.
When W&S asked him specifically about his comments last night, he blamed being the visiting team - you don't get the good replays (the clip I provided last night proves otherwise). He said his comment was "offside" looking back because he didn't know Hossa was hurt.
Claims he was getting death threats, but then Silvy pressed him on that and asked if he talked to NHL security about it and he changed it to "a couple guys on twitter said they were gonna meet me for breakfast" and that it was "no big deal". So I'm guessing he didn't actually receive death threats.
He spent more time defending the hit than anything.

Disciplinary hearing for Coyotes' Torres expected to be in-person, meaning length of suspension could be longer than six games. #Blackhawks

Thanks Spanky. Did he expand at all on why or how you could blame Hossa? I would love to know how anyone could blame him for that.

A little. Because Torres was on the back check Hossa should have known better than to turn in to the middle of the ice.
Again, there was a lot of "uh"' and "mmm" for a little while, so his message wasn't real clear at first.
Kinda sounded as if he may have had a late night last night.

Forgot to add - he said he did not talk to Torres after the game because Torres "must have felt pretty bad because he showered up quick and left".

Or maybe he wanted to live.......

Cool - thanks for the recap Spanky. That guy is a real piece of work to even try to deflect some blame towards Hossa.

Reading the posts from the game this morning made my day. I didnt think things would get so heated, I will be here for Thursday's game. I could have used a place to vent my frustrations last night.

Disciplinary hearing was originally scheduled for today but Torres asked for it to be moved until Friday. Meeting will be held in NY.

Raffi Torres should be suspended for as long as the Coyotes are still in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs and the start of next regular season for that vicious hit of the Blackhawks' Marian Hossa. Unfortunately, I think Hossa has played his last game of the season as a result of Raffi's cheap shot. From everything I've heard, I think Hossa's got a concussion, even though the NHL will tell you it's an "upper body injury". It's too bad if that's indeed the case, because I think the Game 3 OT loss and losing Hossa were punches to the stomach.
