According to the Web site SportsbyBrooks.com, there are 3 personalities at "The Worldwide Leader in Sports" whose contracts are nearly up. Two of them are regulars we see on "ESPN SportsCenter", while the other is one-half of "SportsNation" on ESPN2.

SportsbyBrooks reports that Scott Van Pelt, a "SportsCenter" anchor & host of a daily sports talk radio show on ESPN Radio with Ryen Russillo co-hosting weekdays on a show that's also simulcast on ESPNEWS from Noon-2p Monday-Friday, has already cleaned out his desk in Bristol, CT. SVP's current ESPN contract is up on May 1st, and the veteran anchor/radio host is already being pursued by NBC Sports in a role that would include what he did before joining ESPN in the first place, and that's golf.

Van Pelt could also anchor Notre Dame football broadcasts from the network's new Connecticut studios, as well as the upcoming Summer Olympics in London that start up in late July on NBC Universal's family of networks. The rumored NBC/SVP deal could be too good for Van Pelt to pass up. His ESPN Radio show replaced the one that was previously hosted by Mike Tirico, PBP voice of "Monday Night Football", the NBA & golf coverage for the four-letter network. That was also the one that once upon a time was occupied by Dan Patrick when ESPN Radio expanded their schedule many years ago.

Another current ESPN personality who could be in demand is Michelle Beadle, the blonde co-host of ESPN2's daily "SportsNation" with ESPN Radio national midday host Colin Cowherd. Her contract with the all-sports network expires July 1st, and like SVP, Michelle is drawing interest by NBC Sports as well.

Last but not least, Doug Gottlieb, the former Oklahoma State basketball star turned college basketball analyst on ESPN's family of networks and also national afternoon host of his own sports talk show on ESPN Radio, airing at the same time "Carmen, Jurko & Harry" air on ESPN Radio 1000 locally, also has an expiring contract with the "Big Boys in Bristol". Gottlieb's current deal expires on September 1st. It's unclear if ESPN bosses will allow Gottlieb, Van Pelt & Beadle to leave and sign on with other outlets in the coming weeks and months.

Van Pelt lose, who cares

Beadle! I just think she is hot! Best example I can find of a perosnality making her way more desirable!

Gottlieb, would be a lose. He is really good , especially for their radio side.

SVP is one of my favorites from ESPN. Hasn't he been suspended a couple of times for speaking his mind about the MLB? I hope he does leave and is given more leniency in what he can say. I never really watched SportsNation, too bizarre of a show, but Beadle is definitely a hottie.

SVP can go. Bring back Rome for the middays. Wait, he doesn't do ESPN anymore! Well, I guess Waddle & Silvy can work another hour. Crosstalk w/ Carm & Jurko for the hour?

SVP is one of the best things ESPN has. Would love to see him on either NFLN or NBC.

Needed a secondary, more reliable source.

I was told when I was at ESPN Milwaukee that you need to carry two national shows during prime time (it was M&M and Patrick when I was interning there). Maybe they waive this for Chicago, they practically are already, but I think they would need to carry another national show. Cowherd?

Interesting. You consider sportsbybrooks more reliable than Deadspin? I wouldn't be able to rate either one on reliability.

So you didn't buy the Deadspin story that Beadle wanted to fuck Aaron Rodgers?

I saw and talked to Aaron the first night I was there," Beadle said. "I don't know the guy or anything, but we [she and her girlfriends] were hanging out with him. But Marcia told me that she heard I had apparently blurted out in front of him, 'I just wanna get fucked' very loudly."

Annoyed and incensed at this point, Beadle demanded that Keegan tell her which of her Bristol colleagues had spread the rumors. She wanted to get a lawyer, she told Keegan, and sue whomever it was for slander. Keegan did not tell her, and Beadle calmed down and resumed her Bristol duties, certain that this incident was behind her. Until, of course, we heard about the rumors and received confirmation that she had been approached by one of her bosses about it. Yes, in the aftermath of the ESPN Book interview, Beadle has been discouraged from speaking to us on the record, but she wanted to dispel what she claims are vicious lies before the stories of her ESPY partying spread any further.

Still, a source who was present at some of those ESPY after-parties maintains that Beadle had gotten obnoxiously hammered and that at one point she put the moves on Aaron Rodgers. Rebuffed, she went on to fuck his teammate Clay Matthews instead, the source said.

"That's insane," Beadle said. "I live a much more interesting life in other people's minds."

She said there was only one conversation with Matthews. They were sitting on a couch, and he was pulled away from the conversation by another individual, who proceeded to yell at the Thor-like linebacker for chatting her up. So, no, Beadle said, she did not fuck Matthews, either.

According to Beadle, she did most of her late night gallivanting with some long-time girlfriends who had accompanied her on this particular work trip. She said she was hanging out with them, laughing and bonding and doing all the girl's-night-out-y things that women do when they're healing from a recent breakup.

The Van Peezy section of this board needs to stay regardless of what happens.

The Beadle section might be more than a bit more interesting though...

Because of "Waddle & Silvy" locally on ESPN Radio 1000, "The Herd with Colin Cowherd" is only available here via ESPNEWS. Two words for Colin...Keep him.

Awfullannouncing reporting that Beadle could be going to NBC.

The intrigue surrounding coveted free agent Michelle Beadle's future has been ongoing since reports indicated her contract was coming to an end at ESPN several months ago. Beadle, along with Scott Van Pelt, have been seen as two of the biggest free agents to come along in the sports media in many years. Today, we may be coming closer to knowing where Beadle's final destination will be.

Sports by Brooks first tweeted a report that Michelle Beadle is leaving ESPN for NBC Sports with an eye towards also working for Access Hollywood and the Today Show:

SPORTSbyBROOKS @SPORTSbyBROOKS SbB has learned Michelle Beadle will depart ESPN for NBC Sports with the plan for her to land eventually at Access Hollywood as co-host.

Michelle Beadle leaving for NBC was confirmed by ESPN yesterday. Another blonde at ESPN, Erin Andrews, might be the next to leave the "Worldwide Leader", but she might be ABC-bound, quite possibly on "Good Morning America".
