The Orioles scored 2 in the top half of the 1st, and the White Sox loaded the bases in the bottom half of the inning after the first 2 were out. Unfortunately, Alexei Ramirez came up empty grounding out to his SS counterpart J.J. Hardy and the O's head to the 2nd up 2-0. DAGGUMMIT!

I may be crazy but I think Rios may not suck. He's hitting the ball hard and he is doing it at important moments.

Why would anyone pitch to Paul Konerko with men on right now?

Gotta be done for the day, and hopefully, his days in a White Sox uniform, too.

5-2 O's top of the 6th. Gavin has not been good, but the Sox should have about 5 or 6 runs themselves. Left the bases loaded twice.

No sooner do the White Sox start the bottom 6th with a leadoff single by Alexei Ramirez, Dayan Viciedo erased him in a double play. Tyler Flowers walked, but Eddie Escobar flies deep to end the 6th. 5-2 Baltimore going to the 7th.

I know it's only 1 game, but Brent Lillibridge & Eduardo Escobar are a combined 0-for-7 with 4 K's. As for the game, it's 5-2 Baltimore going to the Top 8th.

What happened with the De Aza steal. Was that a pickoff or a straight steal attemp. If he was attempting to steal with the middle of the order coming up and down by 3 runs, he and Ventura should be taking heat. That's Ozzieball type of BS

GD, they ruled it a pickoff. It was not a caught stealing.

White Sox start the bottom of the 8th with hits from Konerko & Rios, and Ramirez's RBI groundout only brought home 1, and the Orioles' lead is now 5-3 in the top 9th.

Eduardo Escobar grounded out to second, Alejandro De Aza struck out, A.J. Pierzynski walked in a pinch-hitting role for Brent Lillibridge. Brent Morel ran for A.J. and Adam Dunn drove Morel to third. Paul Konerko time with 2 out and down 5-3 to the O's in the bottom 9th.

The plot thickens...Paul Konerko got hit by a pitch. Bases loaded for Alex Rios.

Well Floyd did not pitch well, but this L belongs to the offense. You can't load the bases 3 times then only score 3 runs and expect to win.

This is going to be a recurring theme all year for Chicago baseball. :( The summer is going to be long.

Guys, better hope the Bulls & Blackhawks have long playoff runs in them. By the time we get to Chicago baseball full time once the 2 United Center tenants are done, both the White Sox & Cubs will be out of the race.

Could be, but the Sox have done this for years. Play well against the Tigers, Yankees, and Rangers of the league, then drop series against the Orioles, Royals, and A's of the league.
