When Humber ends up being bad you guys are going to wish you had taken advantage of this run by him.

Jackson is goner than gone. Someone will give him $10 million per year and he can underwhelm them. KW will have to live with it though as Hudson tears it up in the NL. This is like Garland for Karchner.

I think Buehrle will be one of those special exception players that JR finds extra money in petty cash to sign, like Konerko. I'd be fine with:

Buehrle
Floyd
Danks
Humber
Sale

I think we're stuck with Peavy.

You can't get a 30 pack of Miller High Life for Peavy...As for Philip Humber, he's scheduled to start the Twins' series tomorrow night, but I have a bad feeling that teams will figure Phil out after the All-Star break and he won't be nearly as good.

I don't know why you guys don't think Humber has finally figured it out and will be very good from here on out. He was the major piece of the Johan Santana trade, so at least 2 other teams thought he had really good stuff.

$500K and no options. He can do as he wishes. It will be very interesting to watch, as the Sox are on the books next year for $95 mill, right now. Buerhle, Jackson, Humber, UFA and Danks, Arbitration. Peavy and Floyd locked in.

28 years old, been kicked around MLB making basically the minimum for 4 years and now you can sign with whomever, for whatever, what would you do? considering you know The Sox will make a preemptive low ball hometown discount offer soon?

3 Years $15 mill? In past years, Jerry would rip up a current contract and basically back pay a guy like this, but maybe not with this payroll.

I forgot you weren't around for the Don Cooper tirade against Rozcrest.

That was in jest.

Rozner asked Coop a question about Humber struggling in 2 straight starts.

Coop cut him off, saying "whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. It was one bad outing and one bad inning chief."

It was another example of him being an arrogant asshole.

And Coop sucked too.

If you're talking as a Cubs fan please lay off the crystal meth. Humber looks like a classic Cardinals reclamation project which I mean as a great compliment to him and the entire WSOX org. BUT for Marmol.....please. I'm willing to trade Marmol or Marshall but u better get some young studs.

Seattle- The Chicago White Sox beat the Mariner's for their second win in as many days on Saturday. White Sox shortstop Paul Konerko homered in the second inning of the game, and that is all the White Sox would need to earn their eighth win of the season. Phil Humber started the game for the White Sox and pitched a complete game- the first of his career. Blake Beavis started the game for Seattle and fell to 1-2. The game had a controversial ending with what Seattle manager Eric Wedge described as "bogus officiating." "It was clear to me early on that we weren't going to get any help from the officiating crew." Wedge stated. He went on to mention that he would be filing an appeal with the league regarding officiating- particularly the final play of the game. "Brendan hardly took the bat off his shoulder from where I was watching. They (umpire) made a delayed call that confused Brendan and cost us the game." Later on in the postgame interview he lamented the plight of Mariner fans "We had three, four thousand fans that come out to the park to watch us win. There weren't any White Sox fans in the stands, so I don't know who they (officiating crew) were trying to impress. They must have misremembered that they weren't in Chicago."
The game was played in 2:17. Game time temperature was 65 degrees and sunny. Winds were blowing in at 4 mph. The first pitch was delivered at 4:05 pm.
Up Next: White Sox at Mariners Sunday, 4:05 pm

CHW: Danks (1-2, 4.82 ERA)
SEA: Millwood (0-0, 6.30 ERA)

For those attending Thursday's first of 4 vs. the Red Sox at U.S. Cellular Field, feast your eyes on this:

$9 for a game vs the Red Sox is a pretty sweet deal. I know its upper deck, but just get a ticket in the first couple of rows. I don't mind sitting up there if I'm in the first 5 or 6 rows.
