You hit the nail on the head. Here's my problem with Rongey. He can't commiserate. He's not a Sox fan. My advice to him is to listen to the way Doug and O'B commiserate with their fellow Bear fans after a tough loss. And don't act like the fan is mentally deranged for being upset with a loss like that.

I will never, ever be able to understand why people put so much effort into how good or bad Ranger is. Who gives a shit what he thinks? Whatever he says/thinks/does is not going to change the outcome of the game that was just played or the outcome of future games. Orr is right, he is not a fan in the way that Orr, myself, Peeps, Doug, SHARK, Keyser, etc are fans. Given that, honestly his opinion should not mean anything to the real fans.

Yeah, I like baseball though. I enjoy hearing about it and I dont hate the Sox. It just happens that they have some of the worst pre and post, TV and radio announcers around. Take Stone out of the equation and there is nothing redeeming about any of it.

Yes but I would assume you dont typically have WGN as your go to radio station. A lot of people here listen to sports radio and 670 in particular. You would have to be deaf to not know the Sox people if you are listening to the flagship Sox station on a regular basis.

Frank, I thought David Kaplan did pre & post for the 720 WGN/Cubs' Radio Network, but he's been doing a lot more with Comcast SportsNet in a similar role on their Cubs' coverage lately along with that "Chicago Tribune Live" snoozer. I think Judd Sirott's the pre & postgame host for the Cubs Radio Network in addition to his Blackhawks' duties.
