of this draft by Emery for me? I see absolutely no rhyme or reason to the picks. They seem like a disorganized mess with him being beat to his guy at least two times.

This certainly wasn't "BPA".
This wasn't "address needs".
This looks like a disjointed dart throwing contest.

I think Emery would say he is drafting to fill needs. Clearly DE and WR were needs.

The 4th round pick is really the one that has me scratching my head. I do not get that one at all. And if you are drafting for needs there were surely better options at DT, CB, or OL at that spot

Basically you have a GM who was hired by a coach who is protected for life because an old woman likes him. As long as the hierarchy of power is fucked up this is what you will get. The entire organization needs to be on the same page from the top down and the power needs to flow downward.

No doubt the power structure in this organization is messed up. But I do not think Lovie is protected for life. If Ditka wasn't, no way Lovie is.

Not for life...but if he were to get fired who would even make that decision? Not being able to answer that question should be concerning.

I agree the power structure is a problem. But they have fired coaches before with this same structure...

Ugh. At least Al Davis had street cred. Five bucks says she's actually referred to him as "one of the good ones" at her bridge club.

To lose and spit in the face all their fans, obviously.
