Submitted above is a link to Dan Bernstein's latest column on 670 The SCORE's page at CBSChicago.com regarding Bulls' head coach Tom Thibodeau keeping Derrick Rose on the floor late in Saturday's Game 1 win over the 76ers. I'm sure everyone knows what happened to the Bulls' franchise with 1:10 left and victory in sight. The debate over whether Rose should've been on the floor, despite missing 27 games due to various aches & pains will certainly be front & center on today's "Boers & Bernstein Show" along with how the Bulls can move forward without their franchise player, quite possibly for the next calendar year as a direct result of this injury...Seriously.

In addition to all the Rose/Bulls' discussion, the guys might also discuss the Knicks losing more than Game 1 to the Heat Saturday afternoon in Miami. New York also lost rookie Iman Shumpert for the rest of the NBA Playoffs also to a torn ACL in his knee. There's also the matter of the Celtics' Rajon Rondo possibly facing a 1, maybe 2-game suspension for bumping an official at the end of Game 1 last night vs. the Hawks in Atlanta and quite a comeback by the Clippers down in Memphis. The Clips (with "B & B's" buddy Vinny Del Negro still head coaching) used a 26-1 run to actually pull a rabbit out of the hat and steal home court advantage away from the Grizzlies, but also lost forward Caron Butler to a fractured hand in the process.

As for the local baseball story, Gavin Floyd continued his mastery of the Red Sox yesterday as the White Sox avoided a four-game sweep by Boston and the Cubs got a solid pitching performance from Matt Garza in their win over the Phillies in Philadelphia. Might it be good enough to start up the Garza trade talks again? We'll find out soon enough.

All that, plus the NFL Draft is in the rearview mirror. Friday, while "B & B" were at Cork at the Park on the "Bud Light 'Who Needs Two?' Tavern Tour, they had Bears' #1 pick Shea McClellin on the show from Halas Hall shortly after they carried the live press conference, and I'm reasonably sure the guys will also take time to review the Bears' other selections and whether new G.M. Phil Emery made any omissions that he should've addressed. Should be interesting following the daily transition with Mac & Spiegs around 1:15p-ish or so.

What's this? Schuster and Bernsie actually agree about a Bulls issue.
