Geez. I'm done with this negative Bulls (bull?)shit. Yes, Rose is gone and not coming back until 2013. Why not enjoy the playoff run? You don't have to expect a championship, but take it for what it's worth. My god. The regular season was meaningless, and now per Dan, it's not even worth watching the playoffs since Rose is out. Contract the whole god damn league. The Heat will win the next twelve titles anyway.

I'll still be watching and enjoying it, because playoff basketball comes once a year and I'm not going to skip it out of spite. When the Bulls run into their eventual wall, I'll check out then.


(Also, I'll hang on the the shred of hope of Dwyane Wade getting injured. He's not exactly a picture of health, and if he's out the Bulls can definitely beat the Heat. And then lose to OKC.)

It is a buzzkill, Redskingreg. For all I know, this Bulls' roster looks different next year, especially at the start with Derrick Rose & Luol Deng very likely to miss the start of next season when the NBA goes back to the 82-game schedule in November. It's not just Rose's upcoming knee surgery and lengthy rehab that might keep #1 out of action until the first of the New Year, and I might be stretching it a bit. Deng will have to undergo surgery on that torn left wrist of his at some point, and it's believed it'll happen after he participates in the London Summer Olympic games. Deng might be out until January or beyond depending on when he finally undergoes this surgery.

The reason why you still watch these NBA Playoff games, especially now is two-fold. You'd like to see what these Bulls can accomplish in Rose's immediate absence, not to mention see what other weird things happen around the league. You don't want to think about it, but there still could be big-time injuries besides the ones that sidelines Rose, the Knicks' Iman Shumpert & A'mare Stoudemire. I'm still not convinced the Heat are a shoe-in for the NBA Finals and even if they advance yet again, guess what? The Spurs, Thunder & Lakers might prevent Miami from hoisting the Larry O'Brien Trophy. This is not your father's NBA.
