I'll tell you why not, guys. A Spurs' appearance in the NBA Finals is bad news for ABC. In 2007, not even constant shots of Eva Longoria from "Desperate Housewives" at courtside were enough to keep the casual fan interested in San Antonio's four game sweep of Cleveland that year. Look it up. It was the lowest rated NBA Finals ever.

For the record, Eva was married at the time to Spurs' guard Tony Parker. They have since divorced.

I'm going to wait until they face a real team in this playoffs to cast any judgement on them. I am very intrigued by the possible Grizzlies/Spurs matchup next round.
