Last year is last year. It was a complete failure, no doubt about it. This is a new year, and he looks nothing like last year. He is passing the eye test and the numbers test. I understand that it is only May 5th, and they have played five weeks, not two or three, but his numbers are right on par with the career numbers.

lil early to say he is back...what if he hits 5 in may ..3 in june..3 in july and 2 in august and one in september?....if he hits 40 he is back...anything less and he is just much better than last season..not "back"

Nobody is going to hit forty this season. Maybe one guy. And it might be Dunn. I wouldn't use that as a measuring stick to say "he's back". It's pretty clear to everyone except those who are stubborn hard-heads that he is exactly the same player he has been for every minute of his entire career with the lone exception of last year. Why he was so terrible last season I don't think anyone will ever know for sure, but he's tracking his career numbers to a tee right now.

a few guys will hit 40 this year..why do you keep saying that nobody will? i agree dunn is looking like he did in washington now...but it is may 6th....if he stays at this pace until late august i will agree with you ..he will then be "back".. he is in a homer friendly park at the cell ..when kenny signed this fat bastard i thought he was guaranteed for 40-110 every year here.
