OKC lower-bowl fans are creepy. I never trust that many white people in matching clothing. Probably waiting for a comet for mass-suicide.

Thabo Sefalosha playing some defense.

Bulls could really use a big 2 guard....

the lakers are not good...like i have been saying...the refs will keep l.a. in a couple home games but this really should be a sweep if the refs were fair.

rabble rabble white people

Real NBA fans watch the games politely in sartorial heterogeneity unless instructed to make noise by racing burgers and donuts.

But seriously it looks like a Best Buy convention. Colorouts are stupid except for the Winnipeg Whiteout.

People who are defending KG with "But they never call it in that situation!" are morons. I mean, KG basically should've just stuck his foot out and tripped Pierce's defender, it would've been less blatant. He didn't give the refs a choice.

That Thunder beatdown of the Lakers in Game 1 surprised me, only because Oklahoma City had 9 days off between sending the NBA Champion Mavericks in Round 1 and Game 1 of the Western Conference Semis last night.

I'm still kinda nervous about the Spurs tonight as they will have had 10 days between the end of their first series vs. the Jazz and the start of their WC Semifinal tonight vs. a Clippers' team that seems to be playing with a lot of momentum. I don't think San Antonio will have much trouble after tonight, but Game 1 scares me a little bit.

Days off between games don't really matter that much.

Yeah, but if any team could make the most of a long layoff and use every moment of sweep-earned downtime productively, it would be the Oklahoma City Thunder. They probably came up with the perfect regimen to avoid both rest and rust, all the while having a good time being good teammates, having fun team-bonding activities, and listening to the finest backpack rap together.

It feels good to watch Miami self-destruct. Indiana pretty much gave them the game too. They missed a ton of free throws. I enjoy watching the drama of the double technicals. Although Wade was close to a flagrant two on that one play.

Wade should have been tossed on that play. That was bullshit.

DeJuan Blair moves to bench for Spurs

Posted by Inside Hoops

Mike Monroe of the San Antonio Express-News reports:

Veteran Antonio McDyess started for the Spurs for a second consecutive game, with second-year power forward DeJuan Blair again coming off the bench.

For Blair, it is a familiar role, since he came off the bench in 59 of the 82 games he played in his rookie season.

“I just bring energy off the bench now,” he said after scoring 14 points and grabbing six rebounds in 22:23. “That’s the only thing. Just come in here and be the same person. I’m just not starting no more.”

Blair didn’t need any words of encouragement from his veteran teammates to accept the change.

“I did it enough last year to know what it is,” he said. “Hopefully, I can be that spark that they need off the bench.”

This is some bullshit. How was his foul any different than the Jason Smith/Blake Griffin flagrant from a couple months ago? Smith got 2 games for that.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NXw7VKopmA&feature=relmfu

Quote:
Foul on Dwyane Wade will stand

MIAMI -- After reviewing the play, the NBA will not upgrade or further punish the Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade for a flagrant foul on Indiana Pacers guard Darren Collison Tuesday night, according to the league office.

Wade was called for a flagrant foul/penalty one after pushing Collison in the back in the fourth quarter of the Pacers' 78-75 Game 2 victory. Wade appeared to be frustrated about a no-call on a drive to the basket a few moments earlier when he felt he was fouled. Collison was on a two-on-one break with Danny Granger when Wade broke up the play by pushing Collison to the floor in the open court.

The league reviews such a play to consider if the play should be upgraded to a flagrant-2, to assess a fine or, in some cases, impose a suspension. After consideration, NBA executive vice president and discipline guru Stu Jackson left the play as called by veteran official Joey Crawford.

The bias from the officials was very apparent. At the least, they should have reviewed the play during the game, and they didn't even do that.

Mr. Belvedere would be calling for Wade to be arrested right now.
