Not sure where this game is headed, but Alejandro De Aza started the bottom 1st with a single, while both Gordon Beckham & Paul Konerko walked. A.J. Pierzynski singled home De Aza and Beckham also scored when Detroit LF Don Kelly bobbled the ball with an error. The result...A 2-0 White Sox lead after 1 inning.

I think its heading for 9 innings, SHARK. Maybe a 10th or 11th, but that remains to be seen...

Was in the car when yet another out dropped in front of De Aza for a hit. DJ said De Aza isn't feeling comfortable so he decided to play deep and come in on balls. Yeah no shit. I'd like to see Lillibridge get some more playing time in center. This team can't afford to keep letting outs drop in for hits.

That's part of the problem, Keyser. Brent Lillibridge is an infielder by trade, but is only batting .176 in very limited at-bats. Eduardo Escobar & Tyler Flowers haven't been all that productive either in limited at-bats as well. They're not much better than the guys who play everyday.

They can't not have De Aza in the lineup right now but why did they switch Rios out of CF is De Aza isn't a superior defender?

He sure doesn't look any better to me. De Aza is hitting but there comes a time when you have to help the pitching staff and get someone in center who will turn outs into outs. They can get Lillibridge in there against lefties or play him in center and move De Aza to left when they give Viciedo a break. They can't keep running De Aza out there in center everyday.

Keyser, there also comes a time where you can't run 4 and 5 guys out there that are hitting UNDER .200. Anytime Beckham, Morel, and Alexei want to help the pitching staff by getting some hits and driving in some runs is fine with me.


And the wheels have fallen off here for Peavy.

SJ, part of the problem is that these White Sox don't have much down at Triple "A" period. Unless the Sox want to get on the phone with the Padres for the just as bad Jason Bartlett and/or Orlando Hudson, who was on the Southsiders' radar a few years ago, there are no easy solutions.

Come to think of it, there's a guy who used to be here and now wears #17 for the Yankees. Remember Jayson Nix? Wouldn't you like to have this guy back on the Southside roster right now?

Easy solution:

Jerry nuts up (if you'll pardon the expression). Fire Kenny. Put Rick Hahn in charge. Order Hahn to sell off assets for prospects. Rebuild.
