I agree. Everybody knew that contract would bite them in the ass, but nobody expected it this soon. Its pretty clear they have nowhere near the firepower to keep up with Texas. Pujols would have to put up Hamiltonesque numbers for them to right the ship. Which....truthfully I don't think he's capable of anymore. Maybe he can get hot for a week or 10 days, but I don't see him being able to have a 6-8 week stretch of carrying a team like he used to do. He's older and injuries are catching up with him.
