What the hell is going on in this organization where so many people seem to want out? He has 3 years left on his contract and still wants to "explore" a trade on a team that is doing so well and projects to be in contention next year? He doesn't even give a reason why other than he just wants to. Do we just have a bunch of asshole players or a scumbag organization that we don't know about?

Who the fuck wants you Alex? You idiot. You're an average player at best with an above average contract. Screw you. Angelo would love to trade you. But he can't get anything of worth.

I think these players believe they are better than they are and want what they think they deserve. They should rewatch a certain game that was played on Feb 4, 2007.

I think Angelo should get rid on another DE.

^Yeah, it's a no-brainer: similar stats, less injuries, less money.

On a more substantive note, I wouldn't mind seeing AB get traded instead of Wale for two reasons:

1.) Because his cap number is lower, you could probably get more in return, and

2.) Because there's no need to overpay for two defensive linemen, and it seems that Wale isn't going anywhere (lack of interest from other teams?)

He's certainly good, but not great. Would a second rounder be too much to expect?

Ok, well screw it then. We've got the cap room for one more year, and we'll need the depth more than we'll need the 159th pick in the 2008 draft.

Why are you on Brown's side Nas? You said you don't blame him for trying to get more money. Then you say he's not a special player. Don't you think his performance matches his salary. I think it does or maybe it's a little high.

I like Alex Brown as a player. Like it's been said already, he's not a special player but he plays the run well and gets in his sacks too. He's the Bears best all-around DE. Ogunleye needs to restructure his contract. The one thing I find odd is that he makes these remarks just before the start of mini-camp. Now I've never been a profession player or been in a clubhouse or locker room, but how does one face his teammates after making this request? Last I checked, football is a team game and it was the Bears team that made it to the SB.

I think this is a decent enough thought to make it as my 100th post.

You guys know who is grossly underpaid on the Bears? Brian Urlacher. Big time. We locked him up about 3 or 4 years ago. I think he has 3 years left on his deal.

I mean, each teams cap has gone up 20 or 30 million since Urlacher signed. When you see some of these deals defensive guys are getting Urlacher is a steal. He hasn't bitched yet but I wouldn't be surprised if he did. If he doesn't I'll respect him more. He did sign a fair deal at the time but things change. I think he's too stupid to realize how underpaid he now is. LOL.

He can also easily supplement his income with endorsments and appearances. If he made a little effort to become more personable and marketable he could make even more.

I know. He does fine with endorsements. They don't have him speak in his commercials. Still, I'm sure he looks at other guys and would want to get paid more for his football ability. Plus, with all of illegitimate kids - you know there is gonna be more - he's gonna have alot of money going towords that.

So according to you rlogic Nas, everyone should get their contracts adjusted to every off-season signing? Not saying that's right or wrong, just curious.

Yeah. I hate that theory. He willingly signed the contract. Nobody forced him. The market changes. Tough.

Plus, it's one thing for a good or great player to be mad about his out dated contract. I don't like that either. But for a mediocre guy like Brown to bitch that's just wrong.

I'll say it. That is silly. You could never build a team or have an idea from year to year the players you would need. That would suck from my stand point.

Sure he can ask. I have a problem with some of the whining, crying, and general disruptiveness that it can lead to when the player ends up not getting his way. Why open that door that will probably only lead to bad results?

When my contract is up I'll raise hell. Until then I'll keep my mouth shut and cash my $30 annual paycheck happily.

Then he should sign a different contract or find another line of work. Why bother having them at all?

I thought players even when released or retire are still paid some or all of their contract? I'm pretty sure the Bears paid Azumah after he reitred.

I too can be released any day and I would be up shit creek for a while. That's life.
