Who inferred this had anything to do with race? Most of the protesters were white. The shoutout is in relation to the way CPD kept things from getting out of control and keeping themselves as well as the protesters safe, rather than doing anything rash that might have made the protesters more sympathetic figures. To try to make this about race in any way is silly.

I think the media was hoping something bad would happen.

I heard the radio guys say there was a big time confrontation going on turned on the tv and saw protestors protesting and the police standing there ready if anything happened but letting them protest as long as it was peaceful. Which is what is supposed to happen. How is that a big time confrontation?

That said they should have these things at Camp David or the equivalent in other countries. Or podunkville.

I will never understand how wearing a handkerchief over your face while dressed like a homeless person, holding up the piece sign with fingers, & wasting a week acting like a clown helps ones lot in life.
People spend way too much time worrying about others rather than themselves.
