I'm surprised you think that. By pretty much any criteria the Spurs have been the best team in the league since January. As Bill Simmons said, they're the biggest postseason favorite since the 2001 Lakers... And I'm pretty sure Simmons has no Spurs allegiances at all.

Avatar wager on the WCF Bagels?

Is Bosh completely toast or is there a chance he might come back?

what are the spurs biggest strengths ? parker/duncan/ginoboli/frontcourt
okc has a counter for almost everything. westbrook for parker...their frontcourt as a whole is better than splitter/leonard
duncan will have an advantage and ginoboli will score but so will durant....who on the spurs can come close to guarding him

Nobody on the Spurs can guard Durant. That's fine though because OkC stupidly runs their stuff through Westbrook. Parker won't shut him down or anything but I trust him to match him because Russell cant guard him either. Ginobli will match or exceed Harden. The Spurs frontcourt is bigger, better, and deeper than the Thunder's.

The main problem with OKC is they rely too much on three guys. Their three will have to average 80+ a game to keep up with the Spurs. The Spurs have the best half court offense in the league by far, and they just keep moving the ball around til one of their options is open. In case you didn't notice they have just been dominating opponents. Why are you still dismissing them? I expect that from someone like rfdc but you c'mon, you should know better by now Bagels. It's almost June.

Anyways, avatar wager?

That OKC/Lakers game was my favorite so far of the playoffs. Durant is money at the end of the game.

Avatar wager is done.

But really, I don't think my Spurs love is clouding my judgement here. I don't think they are head and shoulders above OKC but I think they are distinctly better, and much more consistent. I won't be shocked but I'll be surprised if they don't win.

It would really be something if the Spurs won every game in the playoffs.

They're looking at their second straight sweep tonight.

Completely agree, I hate the times and schedules of these series. Some play back to back days and then others have to wait 2 days inbetween games. Makes no sense.

Best case scenario is game 3/4 of next series, but most likely he would come back around the first couple games of the Finals from what ESPN was saying this weekend.

The Spurs have looked pretty good, but if you have to admit, FF, that they have the easiest path so far. Utah was probably the worst team in both conferences to make the playoffs, and a Vinny coached team was also an easy pushover for them. This will be the first real test for them this year. Meanwhile, OKC swept Dallas, and it looks like they will be knocking out the Lakers in 5. If OKC wins a tltle this year, it might be one of the best playoff runs of all time. Beating the Mavs, Lakers, Spurs, and probably Heat would be something.

I think Utah was better than the Knicks and Magic and not much worse than Dallas. I agree that SA hasn't had a difficult path so far but they are 8-0 and have dominated. Everyone wants to overlook the fact that by any objective criteria the Spurs have been by far the best team in the league since the All Star break. And I don't agree that if OKC were to win it would be one of the most impressive playoff runs ever. The Lakers are a very flawed fringe contender, and whoever comes out of the East will not be a great team. The WCF should be really good, but it should also be the de facto Finals. I just think the Spurs offensive efficiency and depth will be too much for a thin Thunder squad.

A couple of my own observations from the NBA Playoff weekend... One, I wonder if the Pacers might have pissed away their Eastern Conference Semifinal series completely to the Heat following the Game 4 loss on their home floor in Indianapolis. Two, I wonder if the Spurs are the team to beat after sending the Clippers to the golf course late last night in their second 4-game sweep of these playoffs. Right now, San Antonio will take an 18-game win streak dating back to the regular season when they host the winner of the Thunder/Lakers' Western Conference Final as soon as this weekend.

I think Boston comes out strong at home tonight. KG and Rondo will have double-doubles and the C's win by 15-20.

Kobe continues his knack for quitting in unwinnable playoff series. OKC cruises by 20+ to wrap up the series. I hope I'm wrong though.

Thunder just running the Lakers out of the gym.

Conference Finals should be outstanding and captivate the basketball world, regardless of what a certain Carcharodon carcharias would have you believe.

Alright Bagels the avatar challenge is on. You wanna run it til the end of the nba finals?

It should be a fun series. A game 7 would be about as good as it'll get in these playoffs. We need this one to at least be a good series.

I will literally glue myself to the screen for Spurs/Thunder.

Gotta go with San Antonio. I know I give you crap about em, but I actually like the Spurs. Without me really realizing it, they were the best team in the NBA this year, despite the Bulls' record.

I'm on the OKC bandwagon.
