durant was the clear cut roy and easily the best player drafted ..it is not even close..stuckey is a guard who is not real good at shooting or passing...that is a bad thought man. and blair is just a guy..nothing special...taj was the steal of that draft

I don't think you remember Durant's rookie year accurately. He was a bad rebounder for his height and all he did was throw up bad shots. He was a bad gunner. Obviously he showed flashes of greatness and has evolved into by far the best player from that draft but his rookie year was not spectacular by any means.

You are wrong on Taj. He's a good role player, like Blair. But Blair was taken like 15 picks later and in the 2nd round which means non guaranteed contract. They are about the same player production wise but Blair was the better pick. I won't get into James Johnson vs Blair

Did I really say Stuckey was the best player in that draft? That surprises me because I usually don't like combo guards. I dont remember saying that but I'm not denying it either. I once used the phrase "poor man's Jamaal Tinsley" on here as a way of complimenting a young Rondo's game. But you clearly have many more bad thoughts than the average poster and less willing to accept that.

i will take taj and his career going forward over the 6'6" blair ..i think taj is very under rated and you will not see how good he is until he is gone and on another team and starting....blair will never start in this league

(Blair has played in 227 games. He started 150 of them. Stay 312 playa.)

Unless you and Bill James live in a world where 3 is somehow less than 0. 21 guys have pitched a game where the allowed zero base runners, so at least 21 guys have had a better game than Wood. Maybe his is #22 on the list, but it can be no higher.

Lebron/Wade is pretty close to that, I'd say.

Yes, I am tired of Theo. Tearing it up to rebuild is bullshit. The Cubs could have built this lineup up in free agency without signing guys to 7 year contracts. They could have rented a few guys for a year or two to make this lineup respectable. At some point Ricketts needs to tell the "genius" this losing shit ain't selling tickets, beer and t-shirts.

Yeah because adding a few FA bats to provide any kind of hitting is just insane. I'm just talking about a couple of "rent-a-player" types, not Pujols.

Because you dispel this "fact" any time you post in the Cubs section.

And before you say "well what about Big Fan", yes he does the same thing, but only because he has a dislike for the leadership, not so much the team.

Come on now, let's be real about things.

Having an opinion about the Cubs = being obsessed.

Stay out of Cubs business.

I'm being real. Most of the time, I'm saying what I am just to be a dick. bigfan is obsessed, he's proved it time and time again. He doesn't care just about the management. What does a bad Farmer call or Hawk being quiet have to do with ownership?

There are plenty of Sox fans that are meatheads for sure. Its the Cubs fans that are more obsessed with the otherside of town, however.

For one side to say the other is more obsessed is just dumb. No way to prove it. Both sides of town are obsessed with the other at times. Both sides have their meatball fans.

This is one of those things where its like 95/5 Sox obsessed over Cubs and since 2005 its gone to like 80/20

Still way more Sox fans that Hate the Cubs.

Some Sox fans will openly list it as a part of being a Sox fan.

Its fine

Just one quick example:

Show me where a Cubs fan would post something like this in the Sox section?

viewtopic.php?f=32&t=70111&p=1439164#p1439164

It's not a big deal, I just want Frank to admit that Sox fans are more obsessed with Cubs than the other way around.

This debate is pointless. Fans of both teams follow the other. You cant help but do it, the coverage is right there alongside your teams. Are you going to flip the channel everytime the Sox are mentioned? Get real.

South Side Bob called into Mully and Hanley to bitch about Kerry Wood is getting more press than the Sox getting a sweep.

You'd never hear that the other way around. That's all I'm saying.

You mean a Sox fan posted that in a thread about the Sox/Cubs game?

Wow.
