Once again Dan referenced his height and had to throw in the .5. 5'6" Danny figures if the more specific the lie the more likely it is we will believe.

I used to include the .5" all the time. Then I got my license and stopped worrying about crap like that.

I include the half inch because there are so many liars out there. Always adding an inch or two to their height. Bullshit you are 6'4". Maybe in your high heels.

It isn't really about whether he IS 5'8.5" (which he isn't). What kind of douche needs to include the half and he does that EVERY single time he references his height (which is more often than you would think for a short guy). The overwhelming majority of people would say 5'8" or 5'9".

I am only responding because I am exactly 5'8".5. Most people lie about their height, so I take a different tack and call myself 5'8". My son always goes, no your 5'9" dad, at which time I say no, 5'8".5

At that point does your son smack you upside the head and tell you to knock it off?

Quite the reverse, since he is the one being nit picky. I checked my license, and I guess I lied and said 5'9" when I was 16....I did always wear high tops back then.

I love when people who are 3 inches shorter than me tell me they're 5'9", and I laugh and say no way.

Which is weird because I didn't know they made those people that tall. Then again though, Danny Schayes was 7'0", right?

The bigger douches are those at five-eight and a half who want to tell me I can't be six-three, because they are five-eight and a douchy half. Often the same people who know how tall Pippen, Barkley or Jordan weren't, and exactly how much taller is Lebron James.

I'm surprised the Napoleonic smarmy fuck doesn't use the metric system to brag that he is 1.74 meters tall.

Most girls don't want to be over six feet. I've had a couple girlfriends that were. One of them had the nerve to tell people she was 5'8" which must have made me about 5'4" when I was standing next to her. The other one likes to say she is 5'10" or 11" when she is for sure about 6'1".

I dunno, this was the tallest poster I've seen

Dan's a smarmy dork, to be sure. He has little man's disease, over-compensating with "incredible" wit, verbal smackdowns of lesser human beings, and tales of his athletic/partying prowess. Even if you hadn't heard him say his height on-air before, I bet anyone who has ever heard him speak would guess HIM as the guy that would non-ironically add in the 1/2" to his height. Dan's Dan.

I'm not mad about it, but I will certainly throw quite a hissy fit if I ever hear him celebrate a half birthday or commemorate the anniversary of his first slam dunk on an 8' rim.

I'm 6'2 and 3/4. I wear lifts so I can comfortably say I'm a full 6'3.

People are laughing at the 1/2 of inch Bernsie is adding. Why aren't we laughing at the claim that he is 5'8? I have seen pictures of him at Score events and it looks like he is topping out at 5'6 max.
