I could believe Rozner and Rosie being his favorites, but not simply because they are Jewish.

Still a fan.

I never noticed you point out any of Goff's gaffes (pun intended) in the past.

Im not even pointing them out. Im just laughing when people do. I still like him but when a guy lists "Im me" as a reason for an opinion, that person is begging for it.

Mabye its from my being on Twitter more in the last couple months. Before I just heard him on the radiio. Twitter reveals a little bit more about the person.

I just find it ironic, and even hypocritical, that you now dislike Goff for much of the same things that Holmes does, yet you don't have anything to say about that.

Im not gonna go thru the whole explanation but lets just say we both know Laurence is a "Special case"

Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with everything Goff says, but I'm not posting about everything I disagree with, either.

Nor Am I.

Goff is still good with me, but he's got some holes in his game and since he seems to be feeling himself so much these days, it feels right to point it out

plus that jerk blocked me on twitter

This is probably the big announcement that Bernsy teased at the start of today's show coming up after Matt Rodewald's 3p "Scoreboard Update"...

I am loathe to feed the beast that is Beardown, but I do believe the reason you'll never hear a Bernstein & Abbatacola show has something to do with religious differences. Big fucking deal. I don't think it's controversial or sad that Dan and Matty don't work together. It is what it is. For the most part I listen to what I want to. The Score puts someone on, if I like it I'll listen, if I don't I won't. This is the only situation in which I can listen to Rosenbloom. I find his too smarmy and too cool for the room persona grating when he's solo or with anyone else. However, when he's with Bernstein it's a good fit. Dan drives the show and Rosey brings the snarky attitude and thoughts. It works for me. When Dan is on with Webster I can't listen. There is far too much parroting of Bernstein, with a dash of Napoleanic tough guy bravado, and a very strange attitude towards women for my taste, which keeps me from listening. Larry is uncomfortable radio to me. Please break through the glass ceiling of radio, and rise to the level of your competence LoHo. A six minute sports wrap up on the CBS2 news with Bill and Walter at 5:00 seems apropos.

We went over this when it happened, but it bears reiterating: if anyone called the show and posited that Rahm and Theo would give the Cubs a sweetheart deal because both of them are Jewish, Dan would've gone full-out DEFCON 1, and rightfully so. Spiegel, in fact, went as I recall a mere DEFCON 5 at this hypothesis, and Dan just said "hey, all politics is local," as if it's just like the Cubs hiring Julian Green to ingratiate themselves to The Community.

But you know, now that Little Tommy Ricketts has shown himself to be a total tone-deaf clownass, maybe he thought Rahm and Theo would give the Cubs a sweetheart deal because both of them are Jewish. I wonder if he had had this in mind since the day he bravely stood adjacent to a lectern.

A late addition to the game plan. Bernsy & Rosey chat with now former White Sox closer Hector Santiago after Rodie's 5:30p "Scoreboard Update". According to the Trib's Mark Gonzales, Addison Reed is officially the team's new closer.

Not sure I'm interested in hearing from Hector, as he may be in the minors before long, but solid show so far. We all know how caustic Dan and Rosenbloom individually can be, but somehow together they are more relaxed, yet still biting and sarcastic. Good listen.

Yup. Amused when Bernstein was ripping on Shark's hair and Rosenbloom gave Berns the "how does clean cut hair get you closer to a championship?"

When I got back from running (my tendinitis got better!), I turned the radio back on and heard "why is his nickname Shark, anyway?" Probably just because nobody could say Samardzija and they just picked something cool with an S and an "ar" sound. Is it a big deal?

I know it's stupid, but I was told it was because he looked like a SHARK and also he cut through a football field like a SHARK.

It's not like he gave himself a nickname of "King" or "The Chosen One".

Right. That was Bernstein's initial position. At this point Bernstein would probably say "Old man Ricketts has fucked this thing up beyond repair that, even if the Cubs hired Moses, it wouldn't help them at this point."

Bernstein thinks the Ricketts have shown their true colors. There is no repairing it now. They hate gays, blacks and J.ews. That's what Bernstein thinks.

Hansbrough fits that mold of dumb home-schooled Christian cracker, even if he isn't (and I don't know if he is). He's got a Tebow kinda vibe.

Yeah I know nothing about the guy, but he is so easy to pile on. Goofy looking, spastic guy on the court. "A corn" lover at home. Perfect for Indiana.

Now, taking this back to the afternoon show, radio is also about politics. Getting that seat next to Berntein is a life changing position. It's big money and great status. Bernstein isn't just gonna give it to anybody.

Larry: Sucks up to Bernstein like nobody else. I mean he has no shame in doing so.

Goff: Shows Bernstein enough reverence and respect. Has memorized Bernstein's "Correct Sports Thoughts" book and repeats Bernstein's teachings when he's on the air.

Rozner and Rosie: Jewish

Drinky: Devout Christian that behaves like a mean little brat to Bernstein. He's out. He doesn't know how to play the game.

Really? I don't think they are really all that comparable.

When do you actually see or hear Hansburough? Bernsie obsesses overhim because :

A.)White basketball player.
B.)He did good for a decent stretch last year (this year as well? Can't remember.) And people dared suggest that he may not be a horrible bum.

In BernstinE's head this translates into every white person in America rooting for Tyler H. because he is white and all those white fans are racist and think he is the next Larry Bird or Dr. J. He doesn't play that much (21 min a game), doesn't talk at all (a good thing) etc. I think it goes back to A and B above.

And yes, Benni, there is the hilarious Lie-Berry - A corn stuff from a year ago....so good. Never gets old. Even better that it's an advertisement for impressionable youth to go and read.

Yeah, he would be much smarter if he had gone to the shitty Chicago Public schools, with the wide ass overpaid union teachers that can't speak fucking English.

I have to check with RFDC, but I don't think Missouri residents are eligible for Chicago Public Schools.

Not that I am aware of.

Hansbrough was not a home schooled cracker. He was a proud Poplar Bluff Mule.

Beardown: May I make another observation about Bernstein and a Jewish baseball expert?

CSFMB: No

Beardown: I'm gonna make the point anyway.

CSFMB: Noooooooooooo!!!!

Beardown: Steve Stone is a baseball meatball contrary to his reputation. He hates Sabre Metrics and dismisses all of it, yet Bernstein never calls him out about it. Stone never says anything of substance, yet Bernstein treats him like royalty. If a caller said some of the things Stone said, Bernstein would kill that caller. Why does Bernstein lay off Stone? Why does he treat him like a king? Cuz he's Jewish.

CSFMB:
