Probably.

I'd actually prefer if this series were in Minnesota. I just have no faith in the Sox to win games at the Cell.

In my fantasy league, I just moved Perez to the DL and am looking for a spot start guy... ooh look, there's Gavin against the Twins.. that's a pretty safe bet for a W! And in exchange, I get a 22.09 ERA contribution. :puker:

Gavin Floyd is as streaky of a pitcher as I have seen. He goes through stretches of total domination, like the first 1.5 months of the season. Now he is going through his shit period. I expect that to last until about the all star break. Then he will dominate again to get to a 4.00 ERA and a .500 winning percentage.

I keep hearing that Gavin Floyd has "good stuff" on the mound. C'MON MAN! This is proof positive why I want this guy out of here at the MLB Trade Deadline! THIS GUY SUCKS!

Other than Gordon Beckham's 1st inning homer last night that briefly gave the White Sox a 1-0 lead, they made P.J. Walters look like Cy F----n' Young out there! That's right...P.J. Walters! The Twins' starter held the Sox to only 2 runs & 5 hits in the Twins' 9-2 road win last night! The Twins are supposed to have the worst record in Bud Selig's Major League Baseball, but don't tell that to these White Sox!

Well, if it helps the Twins aren't the worst team in the major leagues right now. :(

SHARK. I'm pretty sure that the Twins would have the worst record in the American League regardless of whom the commissioner was. Even if it were Bowie Kuhn's Major League Baseball.

The Cubs have the worst record in baseball by a half game.

So you've got that going for ya!!

Sox always play like shit against the Twins. Even in 2005, I remember Freddy Garcia throwing a 1 hitter against them at the Dome, and the Sox lost 1-0.

He doesn't suck. He is a legit middle of the rotation starter on just about any team in baseball. He gets you double digit wins. He takes the ball 30+ starts every year. He has a reasonable salary.

The thing is, some pitchers can make mistakes and pitch above them. With Floyd, there is usually no middle ground. Either he has a stellar outing, or he gets whacked hard to the point where the game is out of reach early.

That's because he lives and dies with his curveball. When it's on he's flat out nasty but when he can't find the release point he gets his brains beatin in. I think he needs to throw his changeup more often.

The lineup is in, and here's how the White Sox lineup vs. no-name righty Cole DeVries this eve:
30 Alejandro De Aza CF (L) .286
15 Gordon Beckham 2B (R) .204
32 Adam Dunn DH (L) .243
14 Paul Konerko 1B (R) .381
51 Alex Rios RF (R) .268
12 A.J. Pierzynski C (L) .303
24 Dayan Viciedo LF (R) .235
10 Alexei Ramirez SS (R) .200
5 Orlando Hudson 3B (S) .400(w/CHW)

Philip Humber does the chucking for the White Sox as they seek 2 out of 3 vs. the AL's worst team in Minnesota.

Have these assholes seen Scott Diamond before? If they haven't, it's an automatic loss.

The answer is yes. Diamond is 1-1 with a 4.09 ERA in 2 career games vs. the White Sox.

Minnesota has made a couple of changes in their lineup tonight. This is how they'll lineup, complete with their BAs and changes in BOLD vs. Chris Sale:

2 Denard Span CF (R) .295
19 Darin Mastroianni RF (R) .150
7 Joe Mauer C (L) .293
16 Josh Willingham LF (R) .289
33 Justin Morneau 1B (L) .240
18 Ryan Doumit DH (S) .272
20 Brian Dozier SS (R) .262
24 Trevor Plouffe 3B (R) .152
8 Jamey Carroll 2B (R) .227

By the way, the White Sox face another pitcher they've never seen before tomorrow in the finale of this series vs. Minnesota. Righty Cole DeVries will be making his MLB debut tomorrow night vs. the White Sox' Philip Humber. Not a good omen.

Sale just keeps cruisin along and yet he flies under the radar as one of the best young pitchers in baseball because all the 'experts' were busy sucking Matt Moore's cock (and boy is he struggling). It's too bad Sale spent the last 2 season's dominating major league hitters rather than dominating AA hitters. Maybe he would have gotten the recognition he deserves.

That's just about enough of Matt Thornton.

He walked the first two guys in the 9th.

He was bailed out by a double play, but still.

Oh man....

I totally understand, he will only get bailed out so many times until he gets killed like he has a penchant for doing.

Matt Thornton, why do you forsake me!

He's not even getting the press he deserves in Chicago. The papers are busy talking about the day Rizzo arrives, meanwhile an ace is being created at the MLB level on the southside with little attention...other than as a tool to rip on Cooper and KW

I had a feeling Sale was gonna be great in the rotation. I had him targeted very early in my fantasy draft and am glad I drafted him.

Think they showed it before the bottom of the 2nd. Caught the very end.
