You go into some of these small suburbs, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to the White Sox or meth or antipathy to other baseball teams or the Insane Clown Posse or anti-Tom Gamboa sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

Frank, JORR, and QB have done a great job disproving their obsession with the Cubs these last couple of days.

Makes me wish they paid attention to the Cubs more. It's like an empty spot in my sports world. More like an entire upper deck being empty most days.

I can't find the thread, but I remember giving RPB crap for him saying that Matt Cain was a better pitcher than Tim Lincecum, and, well, I couldn't have been more wrong.

Lincecum will come back. Cain is just underrated becaise of how awesome Lincecum was for those two years.
