I agree. As a kid there was no sport I loved more than baseball. I could play it or watch it all day but now it has fallen to #3 behind football and basketball.

I'll say this about Sveum,he always looks and sounds like a guy coming home to tell his wife he just got layed off. His answers to baseball questions are pretty solid,it's just the tone of his voice.

With 3 divisions, the wild card makes sense. BUT ONLY ONE! To have a 2nd wild card and having a 1 game elimination of one of them makes a mockery of the wildcard teams qualifying for the playoffs. I understand that keeping a lot more teams in a playoff race creates a lot more interest in games late in the season, but it cheapens the format and was a mistake in my opinion.
