Like any stereotype, the "FIP" moniker is a perfect fit for some, partially shared by most, and completely wrong for the select few.

Holy crap! When did they move Evanston into Indiana? Why am I still paying such ridiculous taxes?

We used to go to Door County several times a year (had a friend with a cottage up there). DC is nice and all, but that drive sucks ass.

I can get to places just as nice (and nicer) in Michigan in half the time. We've been going there for the past few years now and don't miss DC at all.

Door county=Chicago on vacation. UP is more secluded and has some awesome vista's and is a lot less filled with Chi town yuppies

even where she is from it's more then a hour and a half. I know for us to get to the border we can be there in about 30-40 depending on traffic to head up 31/12.
