Wally Szczerbiak caused a stir on Twitter Wednesday night when he criticized Kevin Garnett. The former 10-year NBA veteran and current CBS Sports analyst ripped his ex-teammate in a few tweets sent during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals between the Celtics and Heat.

Wally Szczerbiak@WSzczerbiak
KG is another one who lacks the #clutchgene always has!

Wally Szczerbiak@WSzczerbiak
KG never takes big shot for #Celtics now he's fourth in line behind Pierce Allen and Rondo to take clutch shot. Warrior all game though!!

Szczerbiak also said Garnett was “horrible on both ends of the floor” in the Celtics’ 115-111 OT loss in Game 2.

Wow.

I don't think Sczcerbiak is really qualified to criticize Kevin Garnett's game though. That would be like Jo-Jo English criticizing Michael Jordan while Jordan was a Wizard.

Him and Dan Boyle were the pride of Miami University when I first got to school. Legit. There are banners of him up in the basketball stadium.

 Wallys got some nerve. He was a little pussy in Minnesota and is still a sour lil choch as an anylist. Of course KG isnt the 1st option for the game winner especially when Pierce, Allen and Rondo are on the same team. Those guys would be 1st options on a lot of other teams too. And then there has been times when KG has taken and made big shots as a Celtic

You don't have to have been a good player to be a good analyst/coach/GM/etc. That's sort of a "Where did you play your ball?" statement...

Nah man, Wally's comments just seem bitter. It obviously appears to be a personal issue with KG.

Wally World! The Celtic's did rely on Rondo too much down the stretch though.

Maybe. But Wally was a pretty solid player for a while. And what he tweeted wasn't exactly untrue either.

If Wally wasn't the 2nd best player on some of LeBron's Cavs teams maybe he would have a title by now

I can't really argue with that

He's tweeting about a 36 year old, past-his-prime Kevin Garnett.

Where were his tweets in 2008 when Garnett was the main reason Boston got to the Finals?

Again, it was easy to criticize Jordan on the Wizards too. That's not really saying anything.

He's not saying just now. That tweet encompasses Garnett's entire career.

Speigs and LoHo mentioned Wally has made close to 300 million in his career.
Think about that for a few seconds.

Wally was actually an all-star one year, believe it or not. believe it or not he also had one good playoff year. that's about it. he pretty much came up short every other year. for a alleged sharpshooter, his career playoff averages are 10ppg and 43% shooting. wally really battled kobe in all those wolves-lakers series. oh yeah, right. he should have been a good sidekick for garnett but unfortunately was a total liability defensively and with that said, couldn't be consistent offensively. hilarious he's criticizing garnett's toughness....anyone ever remember any games where wally exhibited any kind of toughness whatsoever ??

I find your crusade against Twitter very odd.

Its as if people are forcing you to read stories about Twitter.

Yeah :)

I get what WZ is saying, but it is what it is. Wally is some sort of local analyst and he ripped a former teammate.

I think Twitter and the reaction to it is avoidable if you hate it so much.
