Thought I would start the thread for this game, comes out in about 6 weeks.

Just like Madden, there revamping the passing games and the way the defendes play this year.

One big thing there doing this year is something called the Heisman CHallenge. You can play as a former player like Barry Sanders or Herschel Walker and some other players and try to beat the numbers they put up during their Heisman season.

It looks intresting, you do play with this year's players and the schedule. So you if choose Desmond Howard, you would have Denard Robinson throwing to you. If you succeed and win the Heisman, you can play with that player in the Road to Glory mode and also to add, you can put the player on any team. So they did a video for it today and put Barry Sanders on Stanford.

Also had a thing called reaction time, that you can slow down the play if it would help you.

The game comes out July 10.

What's the point of playing as Barry if you can't have Mike Gundy handing him the ball? Not to mention the lack of Hart Lee Dykes.

I dont know why, Im just prepared to be disappointed, as this game has been a disappointment over the last 2 years.

buy the game, wait for operation sports to get some sliders, use the sliders, and continue to be disappointed......repeat every year

I agree with you shakes, it will be a little weird, not having the players the guys played with, like having Denard Robinson throwing the ball to Desmond Howard.

You could put Andre Ware on a team like Purdue for a season.

I thought the engine upgrade for '11 was solid. Gameplay was pretty much the same for 2012 though they did some snazzy things with dynasty mode. If the engine is the same AND all that's really been added is the Heisman stuff for 2013 I'm not all that interested (but I'll buy it anyway because by July I'm so college football starved I'd buy Intellivision NCAA 2013 Football).

Irish Boy, I think most would agree about being starved for College Football by then, the game helps.

I will ask this for Video games, isn't this one of the top 3 release dates, besides Madden and Modern Warfare game, or at least top 5.

About 2007, I was listening to one of the Indiana radio stations, one of their hosts had a meet and greet thing, called off because he said he was sick, then said he missed because the new College Football game came out that day.

For the Local Chicago guys on the Score, when the game came out a couple of years, they were posting about the game on Facebook, Goff wondered where he could download the Rosters.

TO add on Irish Boy's thoughts, by the time you get to July 10, most of the sports are done, pretty much baseball all the time by then, so your looking for something else. Also, July 10 is the day of the MLB All-Star game.

I thought NCAA 12 was the best college game that came out in a while. One concern I have for the game moving forward is not so much how stingy the zone defense has become in the game, but the sometimes over-the-top ridiculousness of the defensive players awareness of a ball being in the air. Guys with their backs to the qb and ball will fly half way across the screen to deflect a ball. Its gotten pretty silly.

I don't play video games but Sports Illustrated has an offer that with a 50 buck subscription,you get the NCAA football game for free.
