This Sox fan was sick over the weekend...I wouldn't mind going to a "future game". Trouble is, who do I go to a game with?

I'm a Sox fan and I've been to more Cubs games the past few years than Sox games. Why? The tickets were usually free or discounted. It's easy to get into and out of, whether walking, cab, bus, or train. And it's a really fun fucking area of the City.

I don't go to the Cell during the week. I won't drive through the Circle to do it and taking the roundabout way from the north (I-294 to I-55) is just as ridiculous. So...I go once a year on the weekends. if that. Plus, there hasn't been a whole lot of discretionary income the past few years. I'd rather go out for a sweet dinner or to a concert than spend the same amount watching a baseball game.
When I lived in E.P., I went 5X as much. Weekday games were no big deal being 9 miles southwest of the park. Money was less of a concern back then too.

Speaking from first hand experience, I remember that White Sox fans who had seats in the upper deck reserved actually had the green light to sit in the lower deck at U.S. Cellular Field at times when there wasn't exactly a big crowd in attendance. The Andy Frain ushers that were stationed, I remember, said those Sox fans originally ticketed for the upper deck sat in the lower deck due to safety issues. I also know that the same policy doesn't exist at Soldier Field for Bears' games.

imo..if nobody is there by the 3rd...they are not coming..if they do..then you ask to see stub and move if they have it...it all comes down to this as far as attendance..cubs fans outnumber sox fans 2-1 in the metro area.

Let's just say there is only one team in the City.

What is the attendance if the team is located in Wrigleyville vs the Cell?

I think you'd see a slight bump for the non-sellouts, but not by much. Maybe 2-4k on the least attended days.

yes...look at he bears..even when (season ticket holders) the team sucks people show...it would actually be a hard ticket to get with all the season ticket holders if there was one team.

You're not really comparing a team with an 8 game home schedule with a team that has an 81 game home schedule, are you?

yeah, football vs baseball attendance does not compute. if the worst seats at a baseball game were $80, nobody would go.

true about the 8 games compared to 81...but i was talking about one team to pull for for 7 million people in the area...and baseball is mostly nice outdoor weather...football is pretty much the opposite, i would rather watch a bears game on h.d at a bar or my home or friends..baseball is much more enjoyable in person....if the sox draw 2 mill..and cubs draw 2 mill this year that is 4 million total..expecting 75% of those fans to see one team (only option) is not far fetched.

Yes - I concur.

And if you ARE going to attempt to sing, please get the facts straight. The boys had already corrected themselves on where Fisk was not allowed in the clubhouse, it was NOT in Detroit. He was waived in Cleveland. Detroit never was a part of the equation.

I hear you knockin' Steve, and I WILL punch you in the throat repeatedly if you don't bring your "A" game on future phone calls, especially when you wait on hold and offer up weak content ...and bad singing. ;)

i heard them talking about jenny mccarthy and i know mac's a stern listener. she is an obnoxious twat that was somehow blessed with one of the best bodies on the planet. but good lord is she hard to listen to. her on a radio interview is absolutely useless. and i don't buy that her kid was autistic ever.

i do, though, think there is something to the vaccine thing in some ways...not that it's definite. but one of my cousin's kids is autistic and was fine until he got his shots, then everything changed. SCIENCE!!

Knowing that it may have annoyed some people like you only makes it entirely more likely that I will do it again. I had fun and Dan actually encouraged me to free free to burst into song if I feel motivated to sing out again in the future. I make the calls to amuse myself not you dumbass, so I'll do as I please. I listened to it a while ago and thought it was fine, so kiss my ass Grid.
