If Dan Bernstein's a little distracted when the "Boers & Bernstein Show" officially starts following the daily transition with Dan McNeil & Matt Spiegel, there's a good reason for it. Bernsy's buddy (NOT!) is in court today in that state he wants to napalm.

That's right, folks. Former Penn State football assistant Jerry Sandusky is in court this morning in Pennsylvania as jury selection begins in his upcoming child rape trial. The former Penn State assistant remains under house arrest since being charged with raping 10 boys over a 14 year period, and prosecutors claim Jerry met some of them via that Second Mile charity you've heard a lot about. Although Sandusky has pleaded not guilty, a judge last week turned down yet another request for a delay in this high-profile case. I wonder if Terry & Dan B. continue to discuss this ongoing story on this afternoon's show...

If they don't, they could talk about the first place White Sox, who host the new/old-look Blue Jays this eve here on The SCORE for the first of three starting at 6:35p. Although tickets to the upper deck for this series cost $5, the guys wonder what it'll REALLY take to get Joe Sox Fan to the ballpark if discounted tickets still don't result in more butts in the seats.

They could also discuss whether Dale Sveum overreacted in his disgust for SS Starlin Castro's brain cramp in yesterday's 3-2 Cubs' loss to the Giants in San Francisco and whether Starlin sits tonight when the Cubs try to break a 10-game road losing streak in Milwaukee. Might they also discuss the 2 teams' MLB Draft selections during this afternoon's program?

There's also the matter of the Oklahoma City Thunder. They stole one in San Antonio last night to take a 3-2 series lead in the NBA Western Conference Finals vs. the Spurs in Game 5 and can finish the job in Game 6 tomorrow night in OKC. Also, could a less than 100% Chris Bosh return for the Miami Heat tonight as the Eastern Conference Finals try to take a 3-2 series lead of their own vs. the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of their series?

Also, is there ANY truth at all to the Bulls' supposed interest in BOTH Steve Nash & Jason Kidd while Derrick Rose recovers from a torn ACL, despite the Bulls' already thisclose to the luxury tax? Will the guys mention the Los Angeles Kings 1 win away from winning the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history after their 4-0 shutout over the New Jersey Devils in Game 3 to take a commanding 3-0 lead with Game 4 tomorrow night at STAPLES Center? Only one way to find out...

I wouldn't be shocked if the Spurs force a Game 7 and win Game 6 tomorrow night in Oklahoma City, but Game 5 winners usually end up winning the series outright. James Harden was the difference maker in the 4th last night.

I wouldn't be shocked either, but I felt they were the best chance to beat the Heat. Now they look exposed.....

You know I thought that the Spurs were going to win game 6 for sure but after seeing where you stand on this SHARK I might just change my mind. Have you seen the ratings for the Stanley Cup Finals?

Been listening to Mac/Spiegs today. Transition today could be a thing. The whole Haugh article has taken on legs of its own. Mac finds Bernstein's take to be "off putting".

Tune in...or not. I remain on hiatus from the show.

NBA Draft Lottery was watched by 2.95 Million viewers.

Stanley Cup Game 1: 2.9 million viewers

Spiegs seems to believe that the battle is an extension if old high school rivalries. Bernstein(nerd) vs Haugh(jock).

Or maybe he was just the equipment manager.

Or maybe he was a 4 time MVP of intramural dodgeball.

I didn't even watch the last two games of the Stanley Cup Final. I had Gamecenter this year; I got kind of hockeyed out.

And BernSTINE continues to misrepresent the article.

Kinda hard to argue with someone who lacks reading comprehension.

Oh my god, bernsy never used fireworks.

Under my parents supervision, I was lighting up bottle rockets at the age of 8.

What a douche.

Still misrepresenting the article. Haugh never said the only way to learn life lessons was to play football. We went over this.

BernSTINE makes valid points but he does a disservice to his argument by pulling this crap.

Mac was right, the article that BernSTINE was talking about during yesterdays show was not the same article that Haugh wrote.

The problem with Bernsie here in tranny and with phone calls is that whether hes right or wrong he has learned well from his debate courses. He uses all of the key tricks to either run over or quiet your opponent. An example of this might be when trying to make a point you begin with "wouldn't you agree... blah blah blah"

By the time this break is over, it'll be time for the first of Wayne Randazzo's "Scoreboard Updates" before he builds a bridge to Blue Jays/White Sox. Randazzo will "Randazzle", I mean guest host "Xfinity Feedback Zone Live" for the vacationing Laurence "Mr. Multimedia" Holmes at 6p before Chris Rongey's White Sox Radio Network pregame at 6:35p.
