If Spurs fans were as creative as Bear fans this could've been turned into a sign.

Gregg Popovich's sideline interviews were pretty ridiculous. I know that Craig guy with the ridiculous suits is semi-annoying, but giving a short interview shouldn't be that difficult.

In the press conference Popovich said OKC had a Hollywood script in beating former championship teams in the Mavs, the Lakers, the Spurs and facing a former championship team in the Finals (Celtics or Heat).

The ridiculous part was his one word answers to questions and having a real nasty tone with the interviewer. You'd never see that from a lot of the other coaches.

He's trying to coach a game in which his team was on the brink of elimination. It's stupid that the league forces coaches to do those in-game interviews. Nobody cares about them anyway. Just run an extra commercial...

He doesn't act like a child. Maybe one of those psychopath children Rick posted about. He just makes it very clear how stupid those are. You never get any insight from the coaches anyway.

I view this in the same way that I view LeBron not shaking hands after losing a playoff series. At the end of the day if you're a jerk and you win the championship it doesn't matter because you're still a jerk.

No, Mini Ditka is just an idiot.

And I've figured out what he's doing with the avatars. Basically, whomever calls him out for his rampant stupidity, he assumes that person's avatar. He's got mine now.

Edit: Cassie is too good for him anyway.

Have you read a single post on the last 2-3 pages. I've been on the Thunder bandwagon all year.

just re-read the last 15 pages of this thread. My bad on the assumption.

Will the Thunder run off a couple championships in a row?

They might now that the window has opened wider due to the Rose injury. :P

my second question would be if OKC does just that, do the Heat win one? Or will Bosh/Wade/James go down sorta like Chamberlain/West/Baylor?

Jerry West and Wilt Chamberlin were on one of the best teams ever to win a title....

Quote:
1971-72 L.A. Lakers 69 - 13 (.841)
Gail Goodrich, Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain, Jim McMillian and Happy Hairston combined to bring Lakers their first championship of the Los Angeles era...Broke Philadelphia's 1966-67 record for wins in a season (broken by Chicago in 1995-96), at one point winning 33 consecutive games, a record that still stands...Won NBA record 16 consecutive road games...Best road winning percentage in NBA history (.816; 31-7)...Defeated New York 4-1 in 1972 NBA Finals

True, but I think City's point was that they were expected to win more than one title with that combination.

I'll go on record right now as saying that Miami with its current core will not win any titles unless they make a coaching change.

I think that was the year Elgin retired two weeks into the season also.

No way. Ill take 1000 bad interviews if it means we get one gem every now and then like Rondo or John L. Smith

The halftime and postgame interviews are fine. The ones where they have coaches on between quarters are completely useless. They should just let the guys coach their team.

I get your point I just think it is unfair to lump West and Chamberlin in with a team that hasn't won anything and is facing an elimnation game tonight. If anything this Heat team is closer to the mid 90s Knicks.
