It's Friday, and you know what that means. Terry & Dan are on the road for the "Bud Light 'Who Needs Two?' Tavern Tour", this time from Five Roses Pub, 5509 Park Place in Des Plaines. While the guys will have Cubs' tickets for a "future game" at Wrigley among the goodies up for grabs this afternoon, they've got a lot to talk about as always.

They might start with LeBron James' 45 point, 15 rebound monster night in the Heat's 98-79 Game 6 road win over the Celtics to force Game 7 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals in Miami tomorrow night and the likelihood that momentum has swung back in the favor of the Heat after their big road win last night in Boston. Might we hear from Ethan Skolnick, the Heat scribe from the Palm Beach Post following Miami's big road win? He usually checks in whenever the Heat are discussed like this.

I know for sure that The SCORE's Steve Stone will check in from U.S. Cellular Field come 2p to preview the White Sox/Astros & Cubs/Twins' Interleague Series that start up this weekend. While the Cubs stubbed their toes in Milwaukee following a 4-3 10 inning loss, Orlando Hudson overcame a subpar night at 3B to bring home the winning run in the bottom 9th as the White Sox averted a 3-game sweep by the Blue Jays at the Cell.

There's also the Belmont Stakes tomorrow as I'll Have Another goes for the first Triple Crown since 1978. There's also a real good chance former CBS2 sports anchor Howard Sudberry, now with Arlington Park, will also check in to not only preview the race, but shamelessly plug what Arlington has in store for all the broken down horseplayers who might want to wager.

All that, plus "Grilling Gone Wild!", a brand, spanking new "Friday Fung" come 4p and perhaps more from the upcoming Jerry Sandusky trial when the guys start up after transition with Mac & Spiegs come 1:15p-ish or so.

Don't go to the Five Roses website - its infected with a DNS Redirector and you will get a healthy dose of fake AV software and other malware.

Anyone going today? I am tempted to head there if I can leave work at a decent time.

I saw that yesterday. Really great timing to have that happen while they are announcing the location.

Sorry, Shark but I just saw I'll have another is not running in the Belmont. Too bad.

I heard I'll Have Another's controversial trainer Doug O'Neill break the bad news this morning with Dan Patrick. It's a bummer, and it's believed the horse will never race again. So much for the Triple Crown, let alone bothering to either tune into NBC5 or 670thescore.com for the live audio stream!

Shark,
That pub is in Rosemont. Isn't that the new one?

Jimmy, I heard SCORE Production Director Russ Mitera say Rosemont in a promo, but The SCORE's Web site has Des Plaines listed as the location of this stop on the "Bud Light 'Who Needs Two?' Tavern Tour".

Here's the Friday game plan with the guys from Des Plaines/Rosemont:

*2p: White Sox/CSN/WGN/SCORE Chicago Baseball Insider Steve Stone
*3p: Cubs/WGN/Comcast SportsNet's Len Kasper from Minneapolis
*3:30p: "The Second Half"
*3:50p-ish: Arlington Park's Howard Sudberry
*4p: "Friday Fung: Grills Gone Wild!"

Back at the SCORE Studios at 2 Prudential Plaza, RED ALERT! RED ALERT! is on "Scoreboard Update" duty throught 6p.

The guys call them "musings", but whatever they're called, Chris Rongey will guest host a White Sox-themed "Xfinity Feedback Zone" for the vacationing Laurence "Mr. Multimedia" Holmes at 6p tonight from Bacardi at the Park adjacent to U.S. Cellular Field. Ranger will then have his White Sox Radio Network pregame live at 6:35p in advance of Astros/White Sox Interleague. After Ranger's "Xfinity Postgame" from the Gold Coast Ticket Club inside the Cell, "SCORE Overnight" follows in the form of Yahoo! Sports Radio live from Houston until 6a Saturday morning.

Terry and Dan, purveyors of all things sports justice, are now discussing the evils of horse racing? Friday fung can't come soon enough.

I assume this is referring to horse racing, but it occurs to me that it could just as easily refer to hockey, college football or basketball, or 96.88% of the NFL.

True, but I believe he's actually seen all those things at least once.

Even worse, that means Terry has to take the wheel and give vague references to "my guy", of course, knowing this horse was juiced all along.

I thought I heard Terry say less than flattering things about trainer Doug O'Neill a day or two ago before O'Neill broke the news about I'll Have Another being scratched this morning on "The Dan Patrick Show".

The OKC Thunder is the better team but they may not win the series. Jesus Christ he plays both sides of it all the time. So if Miami plays them he can say LeBron is King James if they win and the team around him sucked if they don't. Terry asked him what he thought when they were down 2-0 to the spurs. Bernsie says they were worse then now they are running better "stuff". Outside of my grammar school basketball carerr I am pretty sure Bernsie doesn't know shit and is just a meatball. Meatball for what? Who knows? Prove me wrong.

Bernsy tweeted this a short time ago...

Longtime horse-racing people wondering if, for #illhavenanother, "tendinitis"=fear of a failed drug test. Trainer's one of the dirtiest.

After reading that, I've got one thing to suggest. Hmmm...

(Insert dramatic music)

Yeah, Bernstein know a lot of longtime horse-racing people? Do they all spell horse racing with a hyphen like it's 1892?

If you're going to come up with conspiracy theories, at least make them plausible. They were worried he wouldn't run well because they couldn't juice all week with the detention barn. There, it's a much more plausible theory, and with equally as much evidence.

I typed it like he Tweeted it, Irish Boy. I don't think of horse racing as hypnated though.

Steve Stone time...

I'm hearing from people that I'll Have Another actually died two weeks ago, and the horse in the barn right now is a $5000 claimer that just looks like him.

Someone told me that I'll Have Another is actually an illegal immigrant, and customs threatened to send him back to Barbados if he ran on Saturday.
