I get the feeling that Bernstein claims that he thinks the Thunder are undeniably better than the Heat because that way if the Heat lose LeBron is still awesome and if the Heat win LeBron is super awesomesauce x10000.

Scotty B out-coached Pop? Course he did. But Ibaka going 11 for 11 and combining with Collison and Perkins to go 22-25 in Game 4 is unlikely to have been part of either coach's game plan. Maybe you can credit Scotty B with running so much offense through those 3 in that game and knock Pop's in-game coaching for not stopping the abuse.

???? According to what trainer Doug O'Neill told Dan Patrick, it's tendinitis and he doubts I'll Have Another will ever race again.

I tuned in today and heard Bernstein going on about brain injuries/concussions/CTE related to football again...I also heard him talk about celebrating in baseball. I know his stance on "inferior" teams winning, as well as fans rooting against "superior" players...

My question is this: why the hell is this guy a host of a sports radio show when he seems to dislike everything about sports?

He now gets very upset when a caller says they heard "concussion" talk; not only insufferable on the subject, but insufferable on how people even bring up the subject. We know Dan, it's more than concussions. Mercy.

Bernstein just referenced some study on children playing football (via Malcolm Gladwell, I think I heard him say). He was saying something about it's like having your kid in the front seat of your car, sans-seatbelt, and running repeatedly into a brick wall @ 25mph.

I'm no expert in crash analysis or anything, but I'm pretty positive running into a brick wall @ 25mph without a seatbelt is very likely to kill you on the first go. Maybe I understood what he was saying wrong.

I do favor the Thunder in that matchup, but they aren't going to be shooting 52.1 Effective FG% against the Heat.

I think it's a toss-up between Miami and OKC, 3 big time players (if you count Bosh right now) on each team. Miami doesn't have an answer for Westbrook, but he doesn't always play under control. OKC doesn't have any low post scorers, but do have good big man deefense/depth that could cause problems for Miami. LeBron and Durant would be guarding each other at times so that would be entertaining. OKC shoots the three pretty well, Miami has also, but has been spotty in the playoffs. Bosh will need to play at a higher level, and Wade/Harden should also be fun.

I don't think playing pee-wee football is dangerous and Bernstein's analogy is ridiculous. I think questioning parents who allow their kids to do so is insulting (which is probably the reaction he's looking for).

Don't the bulk of most shows focus on the negative? Listen to McNeil's take on the Bears, and you'd think they will never win another game, and that's when they are winning football games. I don't disagree that this show tends to be negative, probably extremely negative, but that's pretty much the norm.

That would go against the theme though that Brooks is in over his head and Popovich is the master.

It was that the unbuckled kid's head would hit the dashboard with the same g-force as peewee football head collisions...
