TNA President Dixie Carter revealed on Twitter that current WWE Intercontinental Champion Christian will be in Arlington, Texas this Sunday for TNA's Slammiversary PPV. The Wrestling Observer reports that when WWE worked out the deal with TNA to have Ric Flair appear at the Hall of Fame and Wrestlemania 28 in April, a deal was also made to allow Christian to be in Arlington on Sunday for the Slammiversary PPV. Christian will reportedly be part of interviews for upcoming TNA DVD releases.

It's twoo it's twoo. It's just a standard business deal. Pimp out Christian to TNA so you can get Flair there for your HOF/Wrestlemania weekend. Vince comes out ahead.

Disclaimer: Not making a joke here

I bet they put the belt on Christian, and will job him out immediately after. Through no fault of his own. As stated, standard, yet slightly unexpected business deal. It will be like Foley going to ECW on a talent trade, getting over, and being fired.

Maybe.

If so, that's why TNA will never succeed. Ignore WWE and make your product the best it can be.

Of all the guys WWE has, why Christian? They couldn't ask for Orton (he's not doing anything right now) or Cena or that Mexican Guy w/ the car?

Because Christian is a former TNA champion.

Yeah, but why not use the opportunity to get a "bigger name" that hasn't, and probably won't ever, appear on the show?

Why would they want someone that has not been with TNA to promote the TNA DVD release?

Everyone here is correct. Christian was selected because he's a former TNA Champion. However, if the reason they're asking for him is the brand spanking new HOF, major fail. It stunned me for a moment. Hell, I didn't watch Smackdown tonight, but I'm pretty sure Christian Cage is the WWE IC Champion. Oh buckets!! There's just one problem. He's a WWE contracted guy, and it again makes you look minor league. The number one entry to our HOF isn't Andre the Giant, Buddy Rodgers, etc. It's fucking Christian. Because he tried to be bigger in our fed, but quit a couple years later to be a mid-card guy again.

Suck it up, and make Jarrett the first inductee. No power. A thank you for starting the promotion. Lord knows he'll accept the award as a career mid-card guy himself. Next, you settle the deal with Vince for Flair. You get someone to negotiate with Vince personally for Brother Love and Dixie. You give that person all control over the talent swap. I could go into that another time.

The only other option is really pulling a deal, and swerve Vince. When Christian is inducted, have Edge do the ceremony. When the special guest Randy Orton is sitting in the audience, have them make fun of him. Five second pose......arm bar. Five second pose.......arm bar. Now, you have some controversy. Contracts aside. Does Orton join Edge? Edge wrestling again?!?! (Which probably isn't happening). But it's a something.

Again, it isn't fifteen years ago. Contracts are not handshakes these days. Orton isn't entering Mall of America, with a collarless shirt, shocking a live TNA audience of 187 idiots. But, if TNA wants to start getting interesting, I bet Vince and Paul would listen.

Rambling. Not going back to see if it makes sense. Tired. I hope you enjoy.

Where did it say Christian was going to be an entrant into their HOF?

Jarrett should not be allowed in any HOF. Thank you.

I'm pretty sure Dixie said he'd be there on her Twitter. I'm not a Jarrett guy at all. But if you're discussing a TNA HOF, who should be in first? Jarrett or Christian Cage? Keep in mind, this is for your future in the next ten years.

Dixie plugged that Christian would be in Dallas on her twitter but she never specifically said he's be at the ppv. He's also all over their website. I assume part of the arrangement with wwe would be that they couldn't plug Christian on their tv but that would giving her too much credit. They also use their tv time to make a ppv main event on Thursday with a ppv on Sunday..? And the ppv is also being used to set up the main event on their tv the next week. (the 3-way with hardy, rvd and kennedy). seems a bit backwards. The Aries v Joe match should be awesome and the Kurt and AJ vs Kaz and Fallen Angel should be really good. Throw in Bubba vs Joe Park (my current favorite angle) and its a good ppv on paper. Looks like they're having Kid Kash vs Super Mex too. I certainly could have missed it but I can't recall seeing either of those guys on tv in months.

If they do the HOF deal, JJ has to be the first inductee no matter how much he may or may not suck. (and that assumes you don't induct active wrestlers and I haven't seen him in months). Also not sure why they'd do only a one person induction? If non-active I'd put in Jerry Lynn and if they need to put in a non-wrestler, I put in Don West. If its an active wrestler you put in AJ, but whats the point. My prediction is they put in someone we never considered, (maybe Ken Shamrock since he was the first TNA Heavyweight Champ) and then JJ and Karen show up and JJ Honkies the HOF set with his geetar to establish his comeback. I think it will be more of an angle rather than a HOF ceremony.

I realized I STILL have no idea what the name of the company is. It's the tna HOF and its TNA Slammiversary, but Roode is the Impact Wrestling Heavyweight Champion. So is he the TV champ or the Heavyweight Champ of the world representing TNA wrestling? The tv is called Impact Wrestling and the website is impactwrestling.com . Their house shows are branded impact wrestling, but the online store is tnashop.com Thier dvd, video games, and youtube channel is branded TNA impact wrestling. Thier on demand is tnaondemand, etc, etc. I'm not trolling Dixie either. I seriously don't think she knows what her own company is called or has never defined it either way. I think if you asked her, she say its kinda, sorta both. .?

That's TNA owned footage that they can do whatever they want with. No mention of him on their live TV though or plugging him for the ppv. It's not like they can't say his name, but I assume there had to be some sort of an arrangement with VKM. Odd that I'm watching Christian on Smackdown while typing this discussing him being used by TNA. Only Dixie..

Having Christian as your first and only HOF inductee is stupid. Christian came to TNA and did nothing. He was a top guy there for about 2 years and it seems very minor leagueish. I don't see the point of him being the first when there are other guys there that did a whole hell of alot more. I like the idea of bringing Jeff Jarrett back though and having him destroy someone with the guitar. I just can't see it being Christian.

--Christian will be in Dallas for the TNA PPV as part of the deal worked out between WWE and TNA that allowed Ric Flair to attend the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. No word on his role but he will not be the surprise opponent of Crimson. It is a onetime appearance.

--The meet and greet in Arlington, TX for Slammiversary was said to have been a disappointment. We haven't heard anything about ticket sales for the show tomorrow. They advertised 7-9 p.m. but attendance was weak and almost all the fans were gone by 8 p.m., some said it was as early at 7:45 p.m. They were a few unhappy folks who showed up late and found nothing and nobody was around. The wrestlers were very nice and took the time to chat with everyone since the gathering was so small, so those who were there enjoyed it.

I would go Jeff Jarrett.

They could go Ken Shamrock, since he was there first champion, but how many people remember him in TNA.

Just what I heard from the wrestling radio show, as a shot to Vince, Bruno Sammartino.

What they hope doesn't happen is for it to be AJ Styles, because it would probably be used to further the Dixie-Styles Angle.
