Does anyone think this Guillen cussing rant was done intentionally to get Mike North some talk around locally and for that matter nationally? I don't think Guillen as a guest can be fined. And before anyone says that no one would ever agree to this, I think this whole thing was so hush that the only two people, North and Guillen, were in on it. Done as a favor by Ozzie.

On another note, glad to see four people showed up to Mike North's remote, ha.

I'm not sure, but this would actually make the most sense to me.

I really don't take Ozzie to be the type to listen to sports radio, especially to have to call in when he's getting ripped, unless he's thinking he's talking to Mike off the air. And I also don't take him as the type to accept getting talked down to by fricken Mike North. Plus those lines were horrible. 'Get out of the kitchen junior'

They also had Ozzie and AJ having a talk on the field in the Comcast pregame, AJ looked to be pleading a case, and like some little kid listening, I just felt it was weird they'd do that out on the field, in front of everyone, and not in an office or lockerroom.

Meanwhile, the whole thing was already on SportsCenter, and was alreaddy on radio stations around the country by the afternoon, working for Mike great

No. This wasn't set up. Why would Ozzie care to help a meat ball like Pappy? You give Pappy to much credit if you think that?

Why would the Score risk the FCC coming down on them for Mike North?

Curious hair. Reading is a skill. I never once mentioned the Score had any part in this.

None of us are close to these two people, and if you are please step forward, but I believe these two do get along really well and maybe over a couple drinks North complained about how he was losing to Mike and Mike and so on...Ozzie knows he can't really get in much trouble from the FCC on this one, and figured what the hell. Remember, Mike North knows people.

I don't really see how this is giving Mike North too much credit.

Ozzie's problem will come from MLB. I guess his sensitivity training from last year didn't work so well. MLB will not find this to be very funny.

The FCC also will not enjoy the profanity coming over the WSCR airwaves. They could face a fine as high as $250,000. I don't think this was a setup for ratings. Next week will be interesting for both Ozzie and the station.

Don't beleive that Pappy and Ozzie are friends. Just because Pappy says that when he introduces him doesn't mean it's so. Pappy says everybody is his good buddy. It means shit. Ozzie is famous and rich. Why would he want to play the clown to help Pappy? It just doesn't make sense.

This was totally a set up in a desperate attempt to boost ratings. Do you really think Ozzie would take that for real from a pussy like North? TOTALLY a publicity stunt. Do you really think Ozzie is up in the morning listening to the Score? Please, I'm sure he has better things to do as the manager of a MLB team. I listened to the whole thing. It was weak.

Uh. He was up. It was 9:30am. He was driving to Wrigley for a day baseball game. He just happen to have the radio on. I'm sure Ozzie has the hot line Score number stored in his cell.

Pasta. In one breath you say Ozzie's too big to even listen to Pappy. You say he has better things to do. Then in the second breath you say that he would agree to pull a stunt with Pappy. You certainly can't have both of those thoughts.

Again, anyone saying they wouldn't risk it because of FCC fines is not listening to me. The Score would not have been on this. This would have been a desperate attempt on Pappy's part.

I feel like Beardown is the only one getting what I'm saying. He disagrees and rightfully so, but he at least is reading and comprehending.

When you go back and listen to this interview I also found it really strange and out of character from what we have seen out of Guillen. If anyone starts yelling back at him or tells him what to do he doesn't just back off that easy. He was still cussing, but he totally backed off in that convo and let Pappy win. I still smell a rat in this....

Coach did you hear it? He was told he was on radio after the f-bomb and went on with a "bullshit" and god damn." You could be right, but I find it funny how Ozzie can do this stuff and then say shit like, "I don't remember saying that." He always acts like he doesn't have to be responsible for anything he does.

I just find it amazing that we are analyzing two idiots.

I like Ozzie as a manager. But Ryan is right. He does stupid things and then plays dumb afterwards. He always plays the "I'm from another country" routine. It's tiresome.

Yea, who cares at this point. I just find the timing rather interesting when Pappy complanied about three weeks ago of Mike and Mike's branding and always having their names out there. Pappy's show has been talked about on all sports stations and more for the past 24 hours or so.

I would never think this if it wasn't for North's current situation and the fact I think he is at a point where he is desperate enough to try this. I still go back to that comment where he blames it on Mike and Mike's branding is strong and he can't compete. I thought this was really out of character for him, because he essentially was telling everyone that his name doesn't carry much weight in the city in the more. It's true, but I'm surprised he'd make a comment like that where he basically is saying he's not big shit around here anymore. He has a damaged ego and you can see that in his comments off the air. On the air, he's acting at his point.

I don't get North. i still think he has some value in this city, but he just can't give up on trying to surround himself with buddies to stroke his ego. If he could just take a step back and listen to his show those first four to five years and realize, "Hey, dat show I used to do was pretty damn good" I think Pappy would be good on the air still. Maybe he has burned too many bridges with all of his racist and sexist remarks. I don't know. I'm not a Pappy hater by any means. If anything, I'm disappointed he doesn't deliver the way he used to.

Which is a stupid complaint anyway, from the guy who numerous times has had CLTV segments, SportsNet shows (things filmed in casinos), NBC gigs, etc. (Buffone's had weekly interview shows like this, too.) The difference is, Norths gigs never catapaulted into something bigger for him.

Greenie and Golic on the other hand have had some success in that area, but it's taken years of ESPN trying to sell them until they gotten any traction. Not an overnight success story

Completely agree Beebo. I just can't believe North would use that as an excuse. I thought he thought higher of himself. Deep down I guess he doesn't.

Ozzie doesn't listen to The Score. He's more of an ESPN 1000 guy... Uncle Jerry said that himself.

I'm guessing it was a set up, but Ozzie didn't know the all specifics of the dump button, like how you're screwed for those future swears if you use it once, and it kind of backfired

What I meant is, if that exchange was for REAL for real, Ozzie wouldn't have let North talk to him like that. I am sure it was a favor.

I think both North and Ozzie are incapable of pulling something you guys suggest off.

Quite Simply, Ozzie is a hothead, and North over-reacts to the latest Chicago sports news EVERY MORNING.

No way that was a setup for ratings.

WSCR could be facing some hefty hefty fines for broadcasting that live.

Once again Slick, READING IS A FUCKING SKILL. Jesus. No one is saying SCR would have been on this. The set up would have strictly been North and Ozzie. North would have chanced because lets be honest, time is ticking. Go back and read the thread and then give us a thought.

Much like your avatar, I think you're starting to lose it there Ryan.

Let's not forget, Mike North IS WSCR until he's no longer working there.
