Perfect game last night for Matt Cain of the San Francisco Giants. He apparently had the highest strikeout total in the 22 perfect games thrown. That is usually counter productive as it eats up a ton of pitches but he kept it to 125 and got it done.

Those listening to M&H this morning beware.....someone might be extra jealous, bitter and sauced.

See, here is how ridiculous stats are. It is still 4 points lower than Kerry Wood's 20k game. This has to be the top pitching performance ever.

What?

You're taking both sides.

Either Stirkeouts matter more or they dont. If you believe they do, then Wood's game is the best ever. If yo believe they dont and "an out is an out" then this just ties the other 22 perfect games.

HI SPMACK :D

I watched the last four innings. The only real "scares" were a couple fastballs that got away and nearly resulted in HBP. Probably the best pitching performance I've ever seen.

Except for that whole amazing diving catch in the outfield gap.

125 pitches? He should be ashamed at how inefficient he was....
