I said it before the tournament and I'll say it again, Ireland is without a doubt the worst team in the field.

I love watching those bums lose.

A loss for England tomorrow will make this a great week indeed.

A swift, painful, disgusting end to Ireland's Euro campaign. I guess, deep down, I never expected them to get out of the group. But they look like a League 1 team playing teams in the PL. 7 goals conceded in 2 games.

You should just be happy they qualified. That in itself is a victory for a team the "quality" of Ireland. They are in the same class as the Icelands, Israels, and Serbias of Europe. Not as bad as the Faroe Islands, but not in the same class as the Denmarks or Croatias. A bottom half team who will get lucky every 8-10 years and qualify for Europe or the WC.

I live 5 minutes away and have never been. Gonna have to check that out for a game some time.

Been to the Globe once to see a Chelsea match against Aston Villa. Food was decent and had a blast watching the match on their big TV.

Also, saw the final of the 2010 World Cup at English Bar in Chicago and the Euro 2008 Final at Quigley's in Naperville. Both places we're packed to the rafters and the amtosphere was insane.

Everyone was creaming themselves over Russia. Wow. The Czechs advance after that dogshit performance in their first match. Makes me wonder if my pick The Nederland can wrangle a spot in the knockout round tomorrow.

Holland are biggest flop of the competition by far. Van Bommel and Van Persie had terrible tournaments.

Fucking terrible tournament for them. This collection of players are talented but they all just dont play well together. It shows up really bad when they are losing. I thought the run to the WC final would be enough to show them they had the talent to compete and put all the bullshit behind them and then they shit the bed. Portugal could have had 2-3 more goals if the goaltender didnt make some amazing saves.

Tough loss by the Croats, a couple of fouls in the penalty area could have been called against Spain, a studs up tackle in the first half and holding/take down on a corner kick in the second could have been called. But since this is Spain, unless there is a obvious mugging, Spain will get the benefit of the doubt.

Spain is beatable, all that ticky-tack passing got them virtually nothing most of the game, plus I find it boring as shit.

Last seven games Spain has played in WC 2010 and Euro 2012, six games where they have scored 1 goal and the 4 goal Ireland ame.

Someone will be Spain....I hope, or we have a bunch of teams trying to copy that shit.

Don't worry, I think its pretty obvious Germany's going to run away with this thing.

If I had to put down $100 and my choices were Germany or the rest of the field I would take Germany.

I thought Germany was the most impressive team in the last World Cup, but then they played Spain in the semis and all of a sudden Germany just seemed content to watch Spain bing the ball around and they went home 1-0. Hopefully that won't happen again.

The information out there, in the ether, is that if dear olde Enguhlund defeat Ukraine by several goals they will win the group and draw Italy in the QF. That is contingent on Gaul beating Sverige, which seems likely given the shower of shite Sweden puts on the pitch. Now, if the Frogs win the group England will get Spain the QF. I wouldn't count out Ukraine. They are playing at home. But so was Poland.

The Ukraine just got jobbed. I wouldn't want to be the ref leaving that arena tonight.

Soccer will never be a legit sport until they get replays like every other real sport in the world.

England is a complete joke, a disgrace to the game. They act like they are one of the elite teams in the world and then they go out and play like a bunch of scared pussies. Its one thing if you're Greece and you play like that, but when you are England and you resort to hanging out in your own half all game you are just a fucking joke and an embarrassment.

They may find a way to pull this game out. Though they do not deserve it.
