They can put Will Ohman out to pasture as well. Several times this season he has put a close game out of reach.
True, but some of those times he has retired the lefty (which is all he's really supposed to do) and they left him in to get hammered by the following righties. Your set-up guys have to be able to get guys out on both sides of the plate. They had Thornton walk a left-handed match-up yesterday for God's sake! If that doesn't show a lack of confidence I don't know what does. So why is he in the game in that situation? All these guys with great "stuff" and we don't have a reliever who can strike a guy out in a tough spot.
