OMG OMG OMG They scheduled a special press conference at the last minute for today. Rumor is a Windows 8 tablet.

Without knowing anything about it, I'm going to buy it becuase I love all things Microsoft and it will go so well with my Xbox.

FAP FAP FAP.

Rumor is it's called the Xbox Surface...

http://www.oxmonline.com/rumor-microsoft-announce-xbox-surface-tablet-later-today

That's a lot of ports/connections for a tablet, no?

I see "Microsoft Tablet" in Electronics by lipid, click figuring it could be interesting, and honestly the first thing I see is FAP FAP FAP.

Coolest thing I have seen so far is that you could be playing your XBox and using the tablet as well, to look at the map, or other things related to the game you were playing.

Yeah, that was part of the smartglass announced at E3...but that was with any tablet (even your iPad...ZOMG, right?)...there has to be something more to this...otherwise, I'm not sure why they would call it Xbox (although I guess it is the only piece of hardware they have done in the last decade that hasn't tanked).

Apparenlty the presser hasn't even started yet..."event starts at 3:30" really means "doors open at 3:30"...

...oops...

Appleheads are going to kill them for this. Software/hardware working together in a single ecosystem? Apple figured that out a little while ago.

It was about time Apple did something better than Microsoft. They didn't do anything better for about 20 years.

Even though it was unveiled 30 seconds ago, I like the idea. USB support. Really a PC. Going to do something different than Apple. Smart.

32GB and 64GB. That's low for an "actual PC" but it does have a USB port.

It says it's competitive with ARM tablets pricing wise. Anyone have any idea what they are priced at? That was an odd way to address pricing.

Not giving pricing or availability was really stupid. But otherwise, seems like a legit tablet/PC.
