How's your game going? What's working? What isn't? Awesome stories...just whatever...

Played nine yesterday...was hitting my third shot off the tee twice yesterday and I still only shot a ten over 45...one under on the Par 5s.

I know you're supposed to be teeing up with your driver just inside your front foot...I've started getting a huge case of the hooks doing this and I made a quick adjustment of putting the ball dead in the middle of my stance. I know this isn't right but it's fixed it for the time being.

New year same shit. Blocking out all my irons sky high and short right. The occasional pull hook on the 3 and 4. Putting and chipping saving scores as they always have.

I haven't been taking advantage of my free membership this season which is a shame since the weather
has been pretty good. Nothing stands out as a major problem in my game other than inconsistency. I
could use an afternoon at the range and putting/chipping green. Maybe I will make my way down to
Pine Meadow and do that and grab some Frank's wings when I am done just for good measure. I think
I have played half a dozen times this year with scores ranging between 74 and 84.

Lipid, I also have the ball closer to the middle of my stance than the front.

Usually the tale of two 9's for me. Either I'm great on the front and bad on the back or vice versa. I've been killing my drives for the most part this season and chipping and putting a lot better, but my iron play has left me the last few weeks. Still need a lot of work in the putting department though. In early April I shot an 84, and have broken 90 twice since-- which is outstanding for me-- but I still haven't left the course saying, 'Wow I played pretty damn good today' since that 84.

Went out last weekend just as the rain tailed off and shot like a 58 on the front 9, but ended up getting an even 100 for the round with some good holes on the back 9. Still love the game, still want to improve, and luckily, still have the means to go out and golf a lot, though that will likely change for next season.

Been playing in the Windy City Golf League. Nice to play competatively again. Haven't been playing all that well, but still holding on to a single-digit handicap.

Put up an awful 106 today at Broken Arrow. Other than a couple of birdies on the back 9 and getting out of the many bunkers I found myself in pretty well, I couldn't do a fucking thing right.; except a replay of a par 3..

I took an 8 on a 160 yard par 3...a fucking 8.
There was nobody in front or behind us at this point, so I ran back to the tee real quick and played the hole with just my putter. Got a 4

84....100.....92. Pretty much spot on for me. 1st round of the year is my best and then I'm up and down the rest of the year.

I did get a new MacGregor Mactec NVG driver that I'm looking forward to hitting. 430 head and I like the looks of it. Has a regular shaft so I'll be taking a nice easy swing at it. Borrowed a buddy's old one and hit it very well. Which means now that I've bought one I'll hit it like crap. Gotta be the equipment.....no way it's my swing.

Hitting the fairways is a must at Tamarack.

My golf game is very consistent. It's shitty...but I'm consistently shitty. I'm a 6 golfer. I get a 6 on par 3's and a 6 on Par 5's. 6 x 18 = 108...and that's about right. Broke a 100 a few times...but I suck!!!!!!

If any of you jagoffs are off on Tuesday 5/29...

Buddy and I are gonna golf at Odyssey in Tinley Park, probably 8:15am or so, if you want to come along. They've got this coupon deal; http://www.odysseycountryclub.com/admin ... upon_id=40

Hoping to get out Sat, Sun, Mon, and after work Tuesday. I'll take 3 of 4 of those and still be happy.

Oh golf league...why did I join you?

Matched up against somone last night who I had to give 8 strokes...so one on all but the easiest hole...of course, after six holes he's sitting at 3 over which means he has already wrapped up match play and made it so that stroke play is all but impossible for me.

Being the dick I am, I made sure to let him know that he was shooting the round of his life....proceeded to get a nine on the next two wholes...still beat me by 4...

 I did a team golf league one year through work with my ex-wife. We had some up and down weeks but
by the end she got pretty decent. We managed to win the whole thing at the end. Never signed up again after
that since I knew it would never get that good again, better to walk away on top. Hang in there Lipid.

Went out on Memorial Day and absolutely sucked. I think I shot like a 104, but it was more like 110 with the mulligans I took.

Played Odyssey on Tuesday and did much much better. The scorecard really didn't show it (I think it was like 96) because there were 3 holes that really screwed that up. But the driver, irons, and chipping was pretty damn good. Not quite as good as the stretch I had in early April this year, but worlds better than the previous 3-4 rounds.

Doing 9 holes tomorrow with my old man, so I'm hoping I can score in the mid 40's

Did just that, 45. And that was with a couple of 7's to start the round. Finally figured out what I was doing wrong. I had been coming too far inside to start my swings, and of course everything then was being pushed off to the right.

Hit the driver straight and pretty damn long, and outside of the first 2 holes, the irons were spot on. After those first 2 abortion holes, I think I had like 3 pars in a row, a birdie, and then 3 bogeys to end the round with one in the water on the last hole. So I was pretty happy.

Gonna try to keep that going tomorrow at Coyote Run in Flossmoor.

100 on Saturday :(

Did pretty well on the front 9, shot a 49 but actually hit the ball a lot better than that score would lead you to believe. The wheels totally came off on the back 9. On a 502 yard par 5, I was probably 10-12 yards short of the green hitting my third shot. I ended up with an 8 for the hole. That about sums up my golf game.

Been struggling this season so took a morning and hit 180 balls at Pine Meadow on Saturday morning.
Holy shit did that take alot out of me but I finally got my groove back. usually takes one hard day at
the range to shake the shit out. I went home and took a nap and than played 9 in the afternoon before
the last group teed off for the Open. I played in about 1:45 and didn't line up a putt and shot 39 so I
was happy with that. Really hilly course though I was wiped out.

104...99...95. New driver has been given to the father in law. Regular flex does not agree with my swing. Back to the Tour Edge driver. If I start to hit some fairway's hopefully I'll start breaking 90.

Looped for my 16yo son today. the youth tourney league got on a private course about 20 miles south of us. hot, but fun. he had a couple blowup holes as well, but beat both of the kids in his group. shot 97 on a course neither of us had ever seen, the overall winner shot 80,

I haven't played in six weeks. Kids really put a damper on your free time.

What sites do you guys use for tee time deals? I used to be all about greatgreenfees.com, but they seem to have the same courses, week after week, with nothing new. I've used golfnow.com six times this month. They seem to switch it up more. ezlinks is eh. Got any others?
